To me if you are between 21 to 29 then 4 to 5 times daily is not addiction... but crossing this limit is sickness for sure...

Its hard to accept it but these poor kids grow up to sometimes continue the abuse over not understanding their behavior and in turn the loss a piece of themselves. Its heart breaking

I just listened to a guy named Gabor Mate. He claims that all addictions are a result of trauma. This lady sure had her share. Does anyone here know anything about addictions being a result of trauma?

she says you are botn an addict or not but I don't believe that. Just fom her story that was 100% inflicted on her. She wouldn't have an accurate enough memory from before her abuse to say she was always like that!! I don't believe it for a second. some people are more prone to addiction but you aren't "born an addict" unless we are talking about mothers who do hard drugs while pregnant.

The sad part is, if they don't get help and figure out what happened - when they have a child the abuse cycle starts all over again. And with a permissive "do what you want' society, the amount of abuse is growing exponentially. And, to add another layer of complication, those that are involved in it are starting to justify it as natural and normal. This is then causing enforcement to be lax and new laws are decriminalizing child abuse more each generation.
