Talk about memories I used to live there nice seeing the island again but boy a lot of changes but hopefully for the good nice to see people enjoying the island as they should that's what it's there for easy going all the day🤗

Where did you park before getting on the express?

Boring 😴

Had been there and we took a (bit scary) bus ride up through the mountains where there are breath taking views. We went all the way to the airport where we ate buffalo tacos. Loved Catalina!

I’ve lived in Long Beach for about 10 years now and have never been there, looks like an expensive and boring tourist trap unless you have a soulmate companion. Thank you for the video !

This is why the states is so cool, on one extreme end is somewhere cosmopolitan like NY and on the other end you have somewhere that looks like Spain/Malta/Italy or somewhere in the Mediterranean such as Santa Catalina, you don't have to travel far to experience.

The trip on the ferry is called a passage not a tour. There are many tours available in Avalon, such as a Jeep or Hummer Tour of the interior of the island, the Glass Bottom boats or "submarine" and many others involving water or land activities. During the summer, reservations in advance of your trip are recommended as they can sell out and shut you out.

The trip to the gardens is great, and by the way the Wrigley's owned Catalina Island from 1919 until they gifted 90% of it to the Catalina Island Conservancy. Also, the Chicago Cubs, also owned by the Wrigley's conducted spring training for 30 years, on the field near where the bus drove by on the way to the gardens.

I spent many weeks at the Glendale YMCA's Camp Fox, their camp at Button Shell Beach near Long Point, the widest spot on Catalina as a kid. My family also owned boats and spent many weekends and summer vacations moored in at Catalina. We'd stay in Avalon when we could, though we mostly went to the Isthmus/Two Harbors where it's more laid back and it's almost all boaters hanging around, as there are very few places to stay ashore, as you know.

Santa Catalina Island is a very special place to me, my family and especially my wife, so much so, we honeymooned there! Keep up the great videos.
