I'm really intrigued as to why the Gen 3 to Gen 4 raise was so small. You have lower level pokemon, a boost from Cherrim, and a stronger user of rollout, and yet it only increased by ~30% damage

I wish there were verbal explanations as to how they get to such high numbers. Was loving having it as background noise. But that’s my recommendation for one, if you can explain where all the multipliers are coming from to get to that final damage number. It’d be dope. P plz

UM ACKSHULLY eggs in gen 3 hatched at level 5, they didn't start hatching at level 1 until either gen 5 or 6, can't remember exacly which. Not like the damage calculation is gonna be much different tbh. And yes that means you could find pokémon in route 1 weaker than literal newborns.

I didn't personally mind them starting to make cuts in Sw/Sh when it was announced. My problem was the excuses they made for doing so (using those saved resources to make everything look nicer, more polished, improved animations etc.) wound up being a complete farce. Like if you're lazy and don't want to put in the work just own up to it. My opinion, of course.

I've thought in gen 6/7 Houndoom with flashfire boost, then mega evolve in sun against say, level 1 scizor with grass type and fluffy/dry skin has potential but I wouldn't know where to begin with calculating all that lol.

You've made several mistakes here. Crits ignore all stat changes on both Pokémon in Gen 1. Electric terrain in Gen 9 is only 1.3×. There were no level 1 Pokémon from eggs in Gen 3. And that's just from what I know off the top of my head.

For Gen 1, can’t you double the damage by using counter? Gen 1 mechanics are silly and they mean that as long as you get hit by a normal/fighting move before your Sky Attack connects, if you manage to hit a Counter before either player uses another attacking move, counter will hit with 2x the damage of the Sky Attack instead of the last move you got hit by
