I am an 80 years old Egyptian. I have some news papers and magazines starting from 1923. Based upon those news papers and magazines as well as my knowledge of the history of Egypt, I think this video is not accurate. The fact of the matter, Egyptians have varieties of skin color. Their skin color depends on geography as well as the mixing with foreign invaders. In the north where it is less hot and also were most invaders settled, they are light skinned. On the other hand, in the south where it is hotter, people's skin is darker whether they are Nibian or not. Egypt being in a cross road, it has been invaded many times mostly by people from the North, but sometimes from the south. Anyhow, Egypt did not know racism based upon skin color.

Nice video. If we look at the artwork from ancient times, there were always depictions of light and dark skinned individuals. You generally don't get that dark just from tanning, esp., given the harsh climate, that these people weren't always going to be exposing themselves to the sun.
