Im a real estate photographer that somehow ended up photographing a wedding and I had my 12-24 f4.0 lens, my nifty fifty and a dream 😂
Ответитьim using the canon m50 mark ii as my B cam, can you help me with the settings? how do we set up the b cam for weddings is it just manual focus for the ceremony only ? im a solo shooter so im worried it will go out of focus while im away.
ОтветитьI think zooms are better. We all know that special moment we got at a wedding. I get more of them using zooms. The Canon RF28-70 f2 is now my go to lens with 70-200 on the other body or EF135 f2. I like the versatility because I don’t like to move around much during the ceremony. For the reception you have more freedom of movement so the fast primes are great.
ОтветитьI shot an event with a 85mm F1.2 and a 24-70mm F2.8. I wish I had a 35mm F1.4 instead of the zoom
ОтветитьGinger Adam Sandler vibes. 😅😁
Thank you for the video!
I used to shoot entire weddings on a D700 and 50 1.4G back in like 2013. I'd always have a wider and tighter lens in my bag (my go to has been the 28, 50 (currently 58) and 85 for the last ten years. Other lenses sort of come and go, but that has been my bread and butter combo for most my career, with the 50 doing 90% of the work, sometimes 100%.
ОтветитьFro KnowsSsSss PhotooOoOoO
ОтветитьLOL, "Jared Polin"
ОтветитьWTF is Crossroads and who gives a horsesh*t? BTW, who says that photographers can't be funny. But seriously, what genius to go out and photography an entire wedding with a 50mm. If you're game enough to do that, what the hell, just go out and get the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-5.6. That's got to be better than carrying three bodies and several lenses around all day on an 8-12 hour shoot. No way, Jose! Well done, and thanks for a really funny and candid video.
Ответитьhey taylor great video but why didnt you just go Dx mode when it came to the close ups when the groom kissed the bride you would of got some closer pull while still technically using the 50 still.
ОтветитьDo you think it’s okay booking weddings with budget lenses given they aren’t weather sealed and you don’t know the wedding day weather? Scares me haha
ОтветитьMust be a Fuji 😎
ОтветитьGet to the point.. jokes n jokes n jokes jokes
ОтветитьActually most of my weddings a few years ago were shot on a d700 and a 50 1.8D, great shots, the bokeh wasn't as creamy because of it only had 7 blades, but it got the job done, also quite good for low light, when i had to photograph in churches at weddings (romanian traditions lol) i could get good exposures at 1/250 and 1000 iso, always shot wide open tho its not the sharpest lens
ОтветитьI think shooting a wedding with one lens would be an injustice to the customer. I want my photos to pop. But after they look at a dozen, the pop is gone the shots have to much similarity. 24-70 2.8 35 prime 85 prime and 70-200 2.8. On two cameras. D700 and D4s
Ответить70-200 and 10-18 with the big 50 only if 2.8 isn’t fast enough… 70-200 is my goto, why you working so hard… only a 50 will do the job but boy are you going to be running around a lot…
ОтветитьWould I be okay with the 50mm 1.8 instead of the 1.2 in your opinion?
ОтветитьYou are comedy...lol
ОтветитьThe comedic elements of this are killing me. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
ОтветитьHi Taylor, thanks for grt video...what would you say would be the best for 60D budget lenses for all rounder...weddings, families, etc? Will really appreciate your help...not getting much help on this question😅
ОтветитьI have shot most of my weddings on a cheap canon t6 with a 50mm 1.8 lens and it looks professional. The nifty fifty is almost all you need.
ОтветитьThis is very helpful. Some old friends are getting married next week and they've asked me to take photos. I'm really an enthusiastic amateur landscape photographer so I'm way out of depth! I thought I would stick to one lens on my Nikon Z7 and take the 24 to 200 with my old Nikon 3300 DSL as backup. Can anybody tell me if I'm heading in the right direction? Great video. Wish me luck....Many thanks!
ОтветитьI think your humor in all of these videos is very underrated. I really enjoy it. Find myself actually laughing out loud, even with this on in the background.
Ответитьtape over the canon body but has canon on the lens cap hahaha
ОтветитьI did my very first wedding with an 18-55 and a 70-200 f4 (non is) with my 60d and 30d. That's very budget indeed.
ОтветитьI want both the 50mm & curly fries!
ОтветитьIf I had to pick just one lens, I'd go with a 24-70mm f2.8.
ОтветитьI got the samyang 85 and it didn’t work. At all. Almost thought it broke my camera 🥺🥺 probably not compatible with my camera, the canon m50
ОтветитьI couldn't make I halfway with the bs dialogue. Save the stand up bud.
ОтветитьI shot wedding all day with only a fisheye lens. I find the 50mm too long.
ОтветитьTempting mw now. I have a wedding to shoot in September and my main lens choice in a Tamron 90 f2.8 macro. I was thinking Nikon 24-120 f4 to go wide with adjustment but that 50 1.4 G may find a spot.
ОтветитьI use my sigma art 50mm 1.4 on my nikon d7500, nikon d750 thats my perfect pair
Ответитьyou're talking 50mm on full frame right? so for a D7200 would you say to shoot at 35 to get the equivalent focal length?
ОтветитьRegarding macro shots, use an extension adapter or macro filter.
ОтветитьWhy do you have to blur out pics with kids??
ОтветитьCrossroads has the great Zoe Saldana. No, I never did a wedding with a 50mm. My second shooter just uses a 24-120mm.
ОтветитьWhat an experience. by the end of the video I was convinced to watch Crossroads by Brittany Spears, subscribed.
Ответить50/1.2 is best len but not on a budget
ОтветитьIt was the surprise Crossroads fun facts that took me out 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьRoom filled with mind shrapnel, just stuck my grandma's 50 1.4 from the 70's inverted on my Z6 to do macro. SOO cool! cheers! was about to buy a macro lense 5 min ago on MPB i swear!
ОтветитьI love using the 50mm but when I need a wide-angle shot, I just do a pano shot.
ОтветитьWhile you could shoot a wedding with only a 50mm, why would anyone do it? Sure with 2 cameras one could use 50mm and the second a telephoto. I could do a whole wedding with a 24-70mm f2.8 and I have done so for short weddings, however for long all day weddings I use 3 lenses.
ОтветитьYour obsetion with Britney should cause you to watch every episode of Dr Phil. Will this cure you, no but at least it might keep you busy.
Ответитьmost excellent content Taylor Jackson. I shattered that thumbs up on your video. Maintain up the terrific work.
ОтветитьI've used an old Nikon 50mm 1.4D for a whole wedding on my D7200
