It's ridiculous that they want to ban tik tok, it's just an application. Every single day , thousands of applications want to put cookies and all kinds of sorts of tracing stuff on your computer and we saw with Edward Snowden how the NSA is just literary in everything spying everywhere, but yeah 'that's ok, since it's the USA' but the moment there's a chinese application doing the same, they scream murder and fire, and spyware. Give me a break you damn hypocrites.

My concern is that, Chinese people don’t use TIKTOK. I find that strange, they have a completely different app made by the same company. But with completely different content. The TIKTOK app that we have is distributed to the rest of Asia and Europe. Why don’t they want to use the same app?

They also ignore law in the EU that explicitly says you have to keep data about Europeans stored in Europe and are not allowed to exfiltrate them. US has a special agreement with Europe, they are allowed to audit the data storage facilities, then we are ok with it.

BTW, most western apps are banned in China, so their response is dishonest, as per usual.

Once your data is collected it really too late. It's bought and sold quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes an entire system crash and start over again. I'm just thinking of how this can be used as an international threat. If you enemy wanted to set up a crisis and disable/mess up your mode of communications then I can see why it would be necessary to redo our systems.
