I can no longer listen to this man
ОтветитьNow his career will be damaged because of his recent, stupid comments. They certainly won't ever ask him to perform at The Proms!
ОтветитьIf you are so unhappy with Royal Britannia being played at the Last Night of the Proms why did you accept the MBE
The clue is in the name of the award and you are now always linked to the E word and you have done that by choice
Kanneh-Mason was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2020 New Year Honours for services to music.
What a shame this talented dude is a woke piece of shite.
He plays Elgar but Elgar was quintessentially British, and Elgar's music forms the backdrop of much of 20th century Britain's identiy. Yet there he is, turning his back on a national anthem from a country that made it far easier for him to be the global success he is today.
I'm sure if Sheku hates his native country so much, he could try his luck as a classical cellist in his father's Antigua or his mother's Sierra Leone. I'm sure he'd find the remunerations a bit disappointing.
I mean, it's not really a surprise that Sheku is a prick, given his privileged upbringing. There's hope that he might develop a more mature nuanced view as he gets older.
Outrageous cultural appropriation!
ОтветитьThank you for giving all the feeling that I wanted in this piece. You have made this really ocme to life for me.
Ответить🔥
ОтветитьThis is a very idiosyncratic performance by both the soloist and orchestra, but it works and is revelatory, gorgeous. Elgar wrote his only concerto in despair of the horrors of WWI, and at the unexpected death of his wife. Elgar was a very lonely man most of his life. Also, he bravely rejected the jingoistic nature of most contemporary music, and declined many such commissions, quite bravely. Bravo, Sheku.
ОтветитьThis is beautiful! Love it. What excellence!
ОтветитьHIDEOUS.
ОтветитьWow, utterly brilliant. If only I could play it half as well as you, I would die happy.
Bravo!!!!
I loved it so much
Bravo xxxxx
The emotional connection and intensity is what playing music is all about! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Ответитьpeople who dont play the cello dont realize how FUCKING hard this piece is
ОтветитьGave me goosebumps
Ответитьmy favorite concerto ngl. everytime i listen to it i seem to zone out closer to the end of the second movement, and as soon as i snap out its kinda like i forget everything i just heard, but at the same time still remember it…this concerto is very different from any other ive heard so far.
ОтветитьBravo 🎉🎉🎉❤
Ответить他的演奏太像杜普蕾了,不知不觉我已经热泪盈眶。我非常喜欢杜普蕾和她的音乐作品,但是不得不承认我这次真的被Kanneh Mason深深感动了!bravo!
ОтветитьThis is truly special, such a wonderful performance. Made me cry!
ОтветитьBravoooo!!!

ОтветитьYou left me in tears, thank you❤
ОтветитьOut of this world
Ответить2,30min incroyable 😍😍😍
ОтветитьSheku Kanneh-Mason is incredibly talented!! Wow--what a gift he is!
ОтветитьOh my goodness THIS IS QUITE AN UNDERTAKING! If you follow the music booklet to this long suite this could take a year or two to practice this! This takes quite a BIG AND SERIOUS devotion to this!
ОтветитьIn beginning -34´55’´ there is a bad note….
Too much stress ;-)
💜🎻👏🏾
ОтветитьAll this and Elgar was a self-taught and humble man. He never studied music at any conservatory.
Ответитьeffing love this, the instrument, stunning playing, worthy of Du Pre x
ОтветитьI haven't felt this moved by this concerto since Jacqueline Du Pre, this is truly amazing!
ОтветитьSorry don't listen to orchestras conducted by women (cis or trans).
ОтветитьBeautiful 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
ОтветитьI have long been of the mindset that nothing will ever come close to DuPre's interpretation of the Elgar, but this is truly phenomenal. I feel the same excitement and longing I felt listening to this as I did listening to DuPre for the first time all those years ago. Superbly done, Sheku! An exquisite performance.
Ответитьgiulia sapienza makes it better
ОтветитьNow that I have picked my chin off the floor I can say THANK YOU to everyone involved, especially sheku. Very moving piece indeed 😢
