Go before me come his yard and lovr you not future and happiness
ОтветитьA couple months after this video came out, my family took a trip and I forgot my phone at our house so I was without my phone for almost a week and it was fantastic. I wish I could have that back. The worst thing about it was lacking music lol, but literally I just miss not having this distraction.
ОтветитьLife isn't the internet. Life was there before. Internet wasn't meant for fun like we have in the present days, it was meant for businesses that were able to speed up processes. I'm able to live without, since I remember the days there was no internet for the masses. I surely miss those days. The internet is making people with and corporates stronger. This means you're weak and that you need to man up. Otherwise you'll end up like the non binaire people.
ОтветитьAmazing insight!!
ОтветитьThanks! Needed to be reminded of all this 👍
Ответитьi am distracted by your covering your eye
ОтветитьLove how you say “Yorkshire tea”. You haven’t quite got the accent down, but amusing nonetheless! 👍🏻
ОтветитьThis content is very enriching. For those curious about the subject, a book with related content comes advised. "A Life Unplugged: Reclaiming Reality in a Digital Age" by Theodore Blaze
ОтветитьHow I managed to not go insane… it’s internet 😂😂 todays kids have no idea 🤷🏼♀️
ОтветитьMy daily average screen time is over 7 hours😭
ОтветитьOur wifi just got cut off so i have to use data forever like literally 😢😢😢😢,😭😭
Ответить‘How I managed not to go insane’ this says it all 😣 life is ruined, people are ruined, it’s a very sad time now
ОтветитьI hadn’t had internet for a month. it’s fucking hell. It’s so boring. staying in your room left alone with your thoughts and nothing else to do.
ОтветитьI can’t spend my work hours without internet unfortunately
ОтветитьBeen doing this for 2 yrs at my dads he won’t pay his bill
ОтветитьI soent the entire day without the internet yesterday on August 30. It was pretty much exactly the same as the rest of my days lol
ОтветитьJust give me a good old PS1 and PS2 and I will do fine 😎
ОтветитьI go on the internet daily, engage in YT comments, discussions, reddit, etc. Like with everything - in healthy, normal doses, it's fine. If you use it too often and use it as a substitute for real relationships or cure for loneliness/laziness/boredom, like I do often, and put actual emotional investment in online discussions on a regular basis, I think gradually you're warping your sense of reality and real relationships.
You always read any comment with a certain emotion behind it, and you never know who is really behind it and how you would perceive that person in reality. In reality, you can read body language, eyes, etc. Online, you really can't do this and you just project a personality and behavior on text. And very often, people tend to take things personally.
Online, everyone is also more confident and outspoken, which is both a good thing as it is freedom of speech, but it also creates an unearned ego. Because if you post stuff regularly, and you even get some upvotes which is so easy all it takes is writing "this movie rocks" under a movie scene on YT...it mistakenly, consciously or subconsciously, makes people think their opinions are more important than they actually are.
Its funny that i say this while on the internet…but we all need to disconnect from it. You dont have to go full luddite and give it all up, just try getting out and living for a few days without it and see how fucking good it feels.
It helps if you can go to a place that has no cell service so theres zero option to connect to the web. Pop up camp and just relax.
This internet thing, while a huge part of my life and undoubtedly yours, is a blip in human history so far. All our ancestors existed without it and did well enough to bring us to fruition…lets get back to that life.
Try not haveing internet for 5 years
Ответитьi grew up on the internet 25 years old now and i can live without no problem some days i can go months without the internet most of our lives is wasted scrolling through social media
ОтветитьWhat about no internet for a year?
ОтветитьI really plan on disconnecting from the Internet once I've secured a full time job associated with my major. But for now, it's just too useful for me to get rid of. Library's a 30 minute drive for me. But one day I'll do it. I've been collecting physical copies of things with the intention of putting them to use in the future, but only really having the time to oggle at them now
ОтветитьI LIVED WITHOUT 4 MONTHS IMAGINE
ОтветитьWelcome to the 1980's!
ОтветитьOnce people began to wear clothes. Now we are using the Internet. It's called a progress. And wearing clothes is very addictive too, can't stand a moment without it
ОтветитьImagine being so connected yet so out of touch that you describe reading and preparing your own food as "weird shit". Society is pathetic.
ОтветитьBro has a real life Ai voice.
ОтветитьOnly Use the Internet at the Library, thank me later 🍀
ОтветитьThis is getting me really inspired to wean myself off the internet! Thank you. I have always considered myself a heavy internet user, but I don't have data and try to keep all of my internet life at bay at home only on my computer. I deleted most of my social media, but still make art and post it which is one of the links I'm not sure if or how I might sever/deal with.
What you're describing is incredible and is much more aligned with the life I have wanted at this stage in early/mid 20s. The internet is so overwhelming, and I usually leave feeling very....empty? I'm not totally sure how to nail this feeling but it feels like every time I really passively browse random stuff I don't care that much for, I feel like I've just forked over a morsel of my soul.
That being said, plans with friends always take a huge priority and are always top priority over the internet. Yet, I find these spaces of free time in my day that I'm not sure what to do with and end up just returning to the web. Do you have any advice for getting over these types of urges in my free time? I've got a lot of hobbies, but can't really pursue them all the time so I struggle to find what to do with that free time when I am at home.
Anyways awesome stuff thanks!
The internet can make you finally free. It being apart of your life is fine.
ОтветитьI was happier without internet in my childhood days. But yeah, I have to take breaks because it sucks you in. I have another phone that is a Nokia 225 4g that I will switch to, to use more often so I can still be reached but I am not being distracted.
ОтветитьThere is 2 types of sleeping late. 1. Is sleeping late because you are on your phone watching tiktok. And 2. You are doing something good with your life reading a certain book studying working being creative etc.
ОтветитьI used to read a lot of books (fiction and non-fiction, encyclopedias, etc) as a child. Almost 24/7. So much information.
Now.. I’m on my phone.. 24/7. Even in the bathroom. 😂
the grid went down and i had no electricity or wifi for 2 weeks. the first week i was focused on not freezing to death, it was boring but also extremely quiet and relaxing. the second week I started to miss the internet but i began reading and engaging in hobbies i don't normally partake.
ОтветитьHmmm….I use internet for TV and music. Otherwise, I limit my internet browsing significantly at home. It was hard at first, but no different than when I grew up in the 70s and 80s.
ОтветитьI lived without the internet for almost 3 years. It made me realise a lot of things. If i were to describe them it would be a long list but in short it would be the we are too dependent on technology and if someday all of this was to disappear our population would be very scarce.
ОтветитьAaaand I'm watching this at a quarter to one at night. Ope.
ОтветитьInternet for music and gaming mostly... I dont use social media much like Instagram or Facebook...
ОтветитьI'm gonna experiment with this and call my isp informing them I'm gonna go on vacation for a month and to disable my internet.
ОтветитьGreat perspective. I'd be really interested to see the experiment continued, only with two people. See how their interaction with each might change. How they might depend on each other more than they otherwise would for entertainment and company.
ОтветитьThe internet has pretty much taken up most of my free time. I sat down today to find a video for background noise and 3 hours later I was recommended a video of a Capybara farting in a bathtub. I had to ask what I was doing with my life. I'm gonna start living more deliberately by using the internet for what it is. A tool.
Ответитьhi
Ответитьniceee
ОтветитьThe internet is very valuable, but what have we lost by embracing it? Thanks for sharing your experience.
What's my relationship with my internet usage? We have no phone signal or phone line where I live, so in order to make a phone call, you need to call over the internet. There's also no internet coming out here, so I had to hook up a starlink dish. It is important for me to be able to dial 911 or do literally anything, as the nearest town is an hour's drive away.
Watching this cuz..exam result is tmr-
If ykyk
I use the world smalest smartphone Jelly 2e, and I only use it to call, sms, park my car, pay bills. No social media
