Great lesson P. Question: when first jarred, how high might the rH spike throughout periods between burping? Like 68% burp down to 62%, then spikes up after a few hours to 66% then burp again etc? What would be the highest you’d feel safe that you’re not going to mold up on the daily spikes?

A good trick that my old man taught me when I was a young buck was check your buds to see if they are done drying not by waiting until the stem snaps but just before they get to the snap point so maybe a day or two before those stems would snap you grab a branch and scratch at the stem with your thumb nail. If they need more time you’ll scratch it and a layer will come off or you’ll scratch the outer layer off but if they are ready, you will scratch and nothing will come off that outer layer is in tact and you ca usually catch them at that point just before they snap then throw them in a plastic bag on the branch. Next day open it up and if they re moistened you took em too early now throw em in a paper bag for a day then break down the buds and back to plastic or tote ready for trim

I dry my weed in the refrigerator in a brown paper bag for 14-20 days then cure in Grove bags. With Grove bags you don't have to burp.

I completely agree with the importance of curing? Most homegrown gets a bad rep simply because most people don’t know how to cure correctly and so when you get homegrown bud it’s not as good of a time smoking. There’s times where I can get bud from my guy and it’s good but I know if I cure it for a couple of days the way I like it will improve the smoke

If we fully and properly dry the plant then zero burping is necessary.

KEPT MY BUDS IN A SAFE FOR TWO MONTHS . TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THEM BECAUSE I WAS GROWING A LOT OF BUD . THEN WHEN I NEEDED SOMETHING FROM THE SAFE . I CRACKED IT OPEN AND BAM! THE DANK HIT ME LIKE A TON OF BRICKS. I SAID WTF ! I OPENED THE SFAE AND FOUND THAT I LEFT A COUPLE OF DRIED NUGGETS IN THERE . OMG THEM NUGS WAS THE BEST WHITE WIDOW I EVER SMOKED. NOW ITS MY FAVORITE WAY TO CURE. IN A SAFE. NO NEED TO BURP DO TO ALL THE VENTED AIR HOLES IN THE SAFE . ( AIR POCKETS ) I GUESS THAT STEEL BOX DID THE TRICK .

I was just saying the same, I recently got some home grown grime a friend. The buds smell like hay. And I immediately thought this was not dry right and it's was very airy and light light as if it was to dry. So I kept it so I could remind me what I didn't want my buds to look like. So here I am in the drying stage and I notice the one that branch snap it was alittle dry. I and I instantly did not like it and took the rest down. I don't think you should wait for a complete snap more like a hard bend. But hey what do I know this is my first grow 🤗🤷‍♀️😭 but I've read and watched so much on cannabis. Definitely feel like I didn't mess up my first grow. It was very frosty, fluffy, and smelled wonder. My grandfather says I have a green thumb 🤗🤎. Thank you for the information the first video I seen that actually said do not wait to the branch completely snap. 👏👏

question: I have buds that seem to feel super sticky and maybe moist but I dried at 70/55 for 11 days and in the jar it says 50% humidity. So does that mean I should dump them out and wait until they feel crispy or just wait it out since the humidity in the jar is low?
