....man the netherlands sucks. A scooter is only alowed to go about 28mph if thy go faster than that u get a fine and if thy go faster than 37mph you can actualy lose ur drivers license if u get cought....yes u need a drivers license for a scooter in the netherlands. A scooter is quite populair here in the netherlands tho u see them alot.

150cc vs50cc

in the early 2000s i had a Vento zip R3I I dearly loved that little 50cc scoot. I thought it was broke when i was taking the cvt cover off and got stuck. I would up selling it to a guy who fixed it and rode it for another few years. Chinese bike assembled in mexico. But somehow it was great.

Definitely the most important piece of gear is a full face smoked helmet so nobody can see who you are. Yeah that makes sense. Just try not to ride at night with the smoked visor at night. You’re gonna have to have the clear one.

me and my friend bought some of these scoots, he bought one new and I bought one for 50 bucks after some guy dug it out of his buddies yard after it had been sitting outside for around 5 - 10 years. When I got it home the odometer read around 7k miles and I was able to get it running again with just a carb clean, a new battery, and some fresh gas. These little things are slow as hell but they are pretty versitile and can be pretty good commuter bikes with a few choice upgrades

get a Honda ruckus they last longer and go farther i got mine back in 2015 nearly got 15000 miles on it and its still runs like a champ i had one of thoses scooters after two years it craped out and i gtt a ruckus il never go back my next bike will proble be either another ruckus or a metopoilionidk not to meny brands still in the 50 cc market eny more

I picked up a used KYMCO S200 for $1K and it'll do 65mph all day! 4 stroke engine, electric start, but only holds 1 gallon of gas. So I carry an extra quart of gasoline for a 40 mile buffer... It gets over 100mpg...

Sliding at 30 really sucks and does hurt depending the surface of the slide.

I see a lot of young people mocking these slow scooters. I was young once; I understand. Y 'all want something cool and powerful, but some of us are little old ladies who've never driven a scooter, can't afford a car, and just want something to get us to the store 2 or 3 times a month. Someday you young'ens will discover how demeaning it is to have to depend on someone else and go, not when you're ready, but when they are. My biggest concern is seat height, not speed. I'll add this scooter to my list of considerations. Thank you, young man!
