Hi Nazira,
Do you require certifications when applying for jobs...after self-learning?
where are you from? and what is your native language?
ОтветитьIn case you want to shift into slightly different places in tech,
maybe a dev rel or a technical PM, start reading/practising the "Cracking the PM Interview" book.
As a just-in-case-of-life.
May I ask how many hours did you study per week ?
ОтветитьGreat story, thanks for sharing!
I'm also self taught. I switched to technologies from a completely different field. The process of learning and searching for job took me 1 year and 2 months.
I've recently celebrated my 1 year as a frontend developer.🎉
I'm proud of myself and feel inspired by all the people who achieve what they want through hard work and persistence.
Thank you very much, for the information, I will also love to be a successful developer as you are , currently learning react, And lastly You are beautiful, I can't help myself but admire💌🥰😍
ОтветитьI came across this video and it's very inspirational. For me, I've been Googling around what tech coding skills would be interesting and I also think being a Software Developer sounds interesting as well. I'm trying the self taught route. Thing is for me, I already have a BA degree in Animation, and while I love the creative aspect and working with others, one thing I wasn't too thrilled is the pay. No matter how much I saved up, even living with my parents, it felt like it's not enough. No thanks to the high prices in everything, the inflation and living in a high cost of living area (city). My main goal recently is to get my driver's license and eventually get a car, but my main frustration is knowing how expensive both new and used car are nowadays with inflation. Plus, even though my career is capable of 100% remote or hybrid work, my work makes me commute everyday to the office/studio in person, one day I was the only one in the studio/office and everyone else was working remotely. It really bothered me. So I'm considering using the money I saved up and pay for a coding bootcamp to get certified and get some extra guidance. While the self taught route is great so far, I think I would benefit being able to be with other mentors and ask them questions, etc. Since I'm still saving up, I've been using free resources online to learn coding.
ОтветитьHi was the take home test a project from scratch or were you tasked with adding?
ОтветитьWho is help with resume?
ОтветитьCompanies don't need to put out a lot of job postings for junior positions... They get inundated by people who "just finished bootcamp" and are completely useless for most purposes. With an university degree, after at least three years of programming, developers can start to earn their keep maybe after a year or two. But bootcampers normally take a lot more effort for the companies to train up, and not everybody can afford that.
I'm 30 and this video inspired me. Thank you! "It's never late to study and it's never late to start over." Thank you for this. I'll note this to myself everyday.
ОтветитьJust dropping by to make someone smile today. You're Awesome and Beautiful. Thank you for sharing your journey. I'm trying to get in to tech too but having problem with money to have certifications and to work remotely as freelance. God Bless you. More viewers and Followers to come!
ОтветитьI’m currently in the job hunting phase.. Was LinkedIn the website that got you your first job?
ОтветитьCongratulations! You deserve the best. May God Almighty bless your life.
ОтветитьHell no. It is impossible for me to think that a person can become a fullstack in 10 months. It seems irresponsible to me to sell that idea to many people who are starting out in this industry, since most likely they will come across the harsh reality that unless you are a super genius you can get a job in 10 months and even more without a college degree
Ответитьyou just got lucky . most people it takes longer. thats probably not the whole story. i been programming in python for 3yrs im not any interviews. i am confident enough in my coding that i can create anything
Ответить💛💙👍
ОтветитьI want a non stressful remote job, while I can also learn to code and prepare for the career path as a Developer. Any recommendations?
ОтветитьCould you please share your portfolio and how you decided on tgose projects and how long it took?
ОтветитьCongrats! I'm a dropout, this gave me so much motivation!!! :)
Congratulations;impressive performance.
ОтветитьIs it this one by Andrew Mead : The Complete React Developer Course (w/ Hooks and Redux)
Or this one Academind by Maximilian Schwarzmüller :
React - The Complete Guide 2023 (incl. React Router & Redux)
What's the salary?
ОтветитьHow many hours a day did you study/practice?
ОтветитьHighly Employable profile, decent looking woman + makeup + hair = 10x easier to get a job.
ОтветитьIf It's okay then could you please share your salary as a junior developer? How many hours you work in a week, time shifts, and how many days in a week?
ОтветитьYou only applied to 50 and got an interview? Damn, you got lucky! But luck is where opportunity meets preparation. So congratulations girl, you're killing it!
Ответитьcongrats lovely!
Ответитьshe look like my ex subscribe earned girl gonna follow you on instagram
Ответитьhi what u learn first in these 3 courses ? and congrats on your big achievement , its not easy nowadays to land a SWE job without exp !!! cheers
ОтветитьWow, you've done a great job! 10 months is a good amount of time to land a job, especially nowadays. And Full-stack position is very rare for the junior role
ОтветитьAre the old videos removed? 😢
Ответитьcool! how many hours of self-studying did you dedicate on a daily basis before landing your first coding job? :)
ОтветитьCan I see the resume that landed your first jobs?
ОтветитьThat's truly amazing, congratulations! I work full time so I try to spend my days off learning front-end web development, and I spent about 3 hours a day studying and working towards it on the days I have to work. I've been at it for about 6 months but I still struggle with CSS.
Ответитьinspiring =) I am currently learning to code myself . Sometimes the study get to hard and I ended up staying away for it.. hehe
ОтветитьCongratulations! I'm self taught as well. I just recently started applying for jobs after about a year of studying full-stack web development and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a bit discouraging. I've applied for dozens of jobs without so much as a call back. I think it's interesting that you had success finding jobs through LinkedIn. Do you have any advice on how to fluff up a LinkedIn profile/resume when you have no real work history to show as a developer?
Ответить👍👍👍
ОтветитьHi Nazira, Please can you make a video on your studying technique while learning how to code? I seem to keep forgetting everything i learn in like 2 days
ОтветитьWhat languages did you practice? How many days later did you get the job once you started applying? Did the employers not ask for any prior experience or degree before they could decide to hire you?
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your story!! I am learning to code on my own right now. I found that I learn better from books than videos. Currently learning Python, then Django. Once I am good with that, I will learn HTML and CSS. This gives me so much hope. Thank you again.
ОтветитьCongrats, Nazira! I'm only a few months behind ya. This week I'm finishing a coding boot camp! Been a fan since you were a CC at Emirates.
ОтветитьMany congratulations, it is quite inspiring, happy for you!
ОтветитьInsanely hard working lady , I am so happy for you.
Rooting for your success in this new field.
