What is this device trying to be? This looks extremely unintuitive and frustrating to use. I have to listen to an AI for 30 seconds to give me an answer instead of reading it in 4 seconds...? How can I learn a language in public with this device? How can I write a shopping list with this? This will never replace a phone. And why should I have this and a phone, when my phone already is able to give me all this? I really don't see any use for this.

With this device everyone around me would listen to me talking to it. With the screen on my phone, I don't bother anyone.
Also, this thing has it's camera and mic non-stop turned on.

It sounds beautiful and terrifying at the same time. The ability to speak any language, AI knowing you better anyone. Now the scary part is limiting your control over your decisions which may be a bit easy. But this would put us in a state that discourages thinking.

I do think this is a device in conjunktion with other devices will be the future. It is a concern the it is a speaker but that can be remed with a headphone ect. In conjunktion with glasses sethogh and disable at a comand can bring a display nobody can see. It's a good base to impuve up ond and may very well be the next imprudent in tec. I can see this device display your GPS in our car window and your hand for example. Display your movie on the wall in front of you adjusting to your mouvement. I think this is a big part of the future. The translation aspect can go over AI with predicted speech almost to universal translate like in Startrek. I'm sure you can like it into a phone conversation wher you can phone and the other end only hears your voice in the trancelsted form and back. This is a game changer. How ever I would like the ability to completely switch it of and be assured that nothing and nobody can access it to enter into my private life.

As a English learning lover, I don't like the fact the AI translate what I wanna say, in this way we're are going to use less and less our brain. But can be very useful for elder people that may be they don't travel for the language limitation.

Interesting but some folk wouldn’t appreciate having a camera and microphone recording their every conversation with you. So saying its a trend that could move forward, does it need constant connection to the Internet or will it work at some level from its internal memory ?. We are quickly becoming dumbed down as AI gets smarter soon we will be stumbling mono-symbolic morons ….oh some area already there !

That translator feature is very useful. It will change our life we can have conversation in every country 🎉❤

Interesting, i could see myself using this alongside my device. This is because as a Tec i need to see my victron ESS or DHCP, my virtual hypervisors, and lots of other statistics.

I like the personal AI assistant. I've been looking at building a open source LLM Ai designed for me. Will be great if I get loaded onto this device.

Opportunity and spirit were created by Nasa 20 years ago, they moved around Mars for 2 decades and had AI installed. What apple does is basically take technology that is created by thousands of scientists and engineers, innovate it with a new look and feel and say Boom with their marketing campaigns that they came up with the idea. I sure hope this won't become a bodycam for the surveillance of every real-world interaction you have. Also, I highly doubt it'll be possible to fit edge AI hardware into the device itself, so it would likely contribute to the terrible trend of feeding even more of your life into data warehouses for the benefit of big tech companies. This seems especially likely when the product itself heavily relies on AI. I hope they can strike a balance between being able to improve their AI models etc and protecting user privacy. Too many Silicon Valley types will publicly espouse support for user privacy while acting a different way when something threatens their bottom line.
