Thanks for the tour of the Moscow Metro Russell! Living in Detroit, I just came across an article recently about a vision from our local rail service Amtrak that wants to make a similar service available at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. It's been a vision for about 60 years and has always fizzled out and will probably still fizzle out once again. Mass transportation has always been needed in Detroit but the big 3 car manufacturers back in the 1950's put an end to it removing local rail, and trolly service's to get more consumers to buy cars. I shared this link of your Moscow Metro on their post to show them how it should be done right! ✌😄👍

Russel, you should read Dmitry Glukhovsky's Metro 2033. It will give you a whole new perspective on the Moscow Metro. Park Pobedy station is playing a central role in the novel, as is the VDNKh station.

And funny thing. Park pobedy station almost not used 3 years ago. Then they made a major intersection and now it's one of the most busy stations in Moscow metro

Moscow has 3 airports. Seremetrevo Airport is the largest international airport. Vnukovo Airport and Damdamaadenrovo Airport. It is a domestic airport but was upgraded to an international airport to reduce load. All airports have a subway system running from the center to the airport. There are also buses. Train stations from cities of the Russian Federation are connected to the metro system

I know many ex-pats / Russian retirees who would return to Russia (and bring their savings / retirement nest egg) if they knew how good / bad the healthcare was in their former homeland.

Question about the elevators. You never once mentioned wheelchairs or handicapped; you only mentioned prams and luggage. Either you think we are luggage, or you don't have wheelchair-bound people in Russia. I am trying to learn how to travel to and navigate around Moscow as a wheelchair-bound female traveler with a service dog.
