Can some smart person explain me how the dragster finishes first being 30mph slower at the end? I thought faster acceleration = faster finish speed.

That rail looked really well sorted out, very nice looking and running, normally asperated. I wonder when a pure drag class for electrics will be introduced. A high voltage motor, small light battery, good for 1/4 mile between charging, a 50-100 volt motors, 700 volts charging, shaving 3500lb from a Plaid, and a generator support truck to charge between rounds, or battery swap between races.

So you made a purpose built drag racing vehicle and you're bragging that you beat a stock 4 door sedan? :D

That dragster has a lot more than a 1,000 HP. The 10,000 HP ones run a quarter in 4 seconds. With full steam that one could have run in the low 7s. I'm guessing closer to 2,000 HP, if not, a little more!
