Youre right but you forgot to mention the keys not only have to be weighted, they also have to be touch sensitive.
ОтветитьI have a keyboard with hard medium soft fixed touch is it ok
ОтветитьGreat teacher, great video. I just purchased my Yamaha P515 it is amazing with all the things you recommend. It ain’t cheap but it’s worth every penny. Love it thanks.
ОтветитьWhy do people feed the need to play music over someone talking?
It's pointless, distracting, and annoying. 🤦♂️👎
Im thinking about getting my 7yo a Roland FP 30x she want to start lessons and id like to gift her one for xmas. I understand nothing but from little research i lived the sound...would u agree that a good one?
ОтветитьThe Yamaha P125 with original stand would be my preferred choice
ОтветитьI play on a Korg Kronos, but this a workstation keyboard, if I would only buy a piano type keyboard I would look at Kawai. (Roland 2e)
Ответитьi was not sure about this channel at first, but she is a great teacher.. perfect for older students.. and perfect in other ways too :-)
ОтветитьI started piano lessons when I retired at 68yo. I purchased a Roland FP-30, (88 weighted keys for $600)) a Z type stand, a bench and later the sustain petal. I was surprised that a I did what you said to look for in a digital piano. I am very happy with my purchase. I just came to see your video today and I will be checking it out to get another teacher's method of instruction.

I just bought the Alesis Prestige Artist and I love it.
ОтветитьGuess I can just sell my car if I wanted to be a beginner.
ОтветитьAfter not playing the piano for many years, I would like to re-learn along with my wife. However, we live in Brazil and the Yamaha P-125 you suggested is almost 5 times the minimum salary. And I'm not even going to bother looking at the Casio.... I know you couldn't possibly list every option, but are there any other options or advice you can give that we could maybe progress from and to a better piano?
Ответитьi'm thinking of Yamaha PS500 88-key Smart Digital Piano w/Stream Lights Technology, PA500C Power Adapter and FC4A Sustain Pedal, Black. any comments?
Ответитьi'm planning to get a Thomann SP-5600, Kawai ES-120 B or Thomann DP-28 but it's really hard to decide which one
ОтветитьI have not found a decent electronic piano that sounds like the real thing. I have a Kawai baby grand in my den and an M-Audio Hammer 88 Pro in my office. The latter is a MIDI CONTROLLER, which means that it doesn't have or play any integrated sounds. It connects to a computer and you play a virtual instrument with it. There are two main benefits to this: the first is that you can get a virtual instrument that sounds EXACTLY like the real thing, particularly if you play it through a decent quality speaker system. The second is that your sound is only limited by the number of virtual instruments you own (and effects you have to modify them). My go-to is the UVI Austrian Grand (Bösendorfer). But I have literally dozens of virtual pianos and thousands of other virtual instruments (including entire orchestras) that don't break the bank.
ОтветитьMy keyboard coming to me is a Casio WK 6600 with 76 keys. I couldn't find a bigger one.
ОтветитьAlesis Prestige Artist any good?
Ответитьthank you for infor'. Love it.
ОтветитьIs there a reason the casio privia is now listed for more than the Yamaha p125?🤔
ОтветитьWas gifted an Alesis Prestige Artist keyboard. I think it usually goes for $420-$480. It has 88 weighted keys and comes with a realistic sustain pedal. It sounds pretty darn amazing and feels like a real pain, to me .
ОтветитьBeautiful ❤️😍💋🌹
Ответить73 is better than 61 keys.
ОтветитьPurchased a Roland FP10 and I definitely love it. It has 88 weighted keys with true to life piano sounds👌
ОтветитьThanks for so many good ideas. I’m looking for an upgrade to my old Casio keyboard. Your links are helpful. ☺️
ОтветитьKorg hard touch
ОтветитьWhy is the video reversed?
ОтветитьCheap doesn't get along with quality sound instruments
ОтветитьThanks!!!
There are so many people pushing keyboards because their being paid to, rather than promoting what they actually believe is a good choice.
Do not buy a Casio ap470 piano. I bought one from Sweetwater 9 months ago and it stopped working a few days ago. It will not power on. Now I am stuck with the hassle of shipping it back to Sweetwater. I had a Williams piano for 10 years and never had a problem with it. I still worked when I gave it away.
ОтветитьI can skip this I got the very expensive shite.
ОтветитьThat is great advice! Personally I bought a Roland FP-30X about one year ago. It has 88 keys, fully weighted with escapement feature. It truly has authentic sound quality and feel quality of the high-end accoustic piano that I owned years ago. And it has tons of other features too. This awesome piano can be purchased at an incredibly low price under $1000! I sound like a commercial but that's how excited I am about my Roland : )
ОтветитьRoland fp-30x, usb to computer port, weighted 88keys. love it
ОтветитьI have a Yamaha Clavinova CLP 320.
ОтветитьI have a t Tyrus five Keybourd what is your opinion of it?.
ОтветитьSuper video.
ОтветитьThis so much rubbish. Buy the best keyboard you can afford.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьFirst question should be , "do you only want to be a classic piano player ? " then 88keys weighted is ok. You want to be keyboard player for jazz or pop 73-61 key semi weighted is good option , because 88key weighted are heavy and cant be put in most cars for a gig.
ОтветитьCraig's List and Facebook ALWAYS have free pianos listed.
ОтветитьNord stage
ОтветитьIf anyone wants to go the VST/keyboard controller route, stay away from any Nektar products. ALL of them. They are cheaply made, and customer service is terrible.
ОтветитьI'm still debating Roland FP10 vs Casio PX-S1000... Both are nice, roland is a bit lower end, and a bit cheaper... IDK...
ОтветитьI'M NEW TO LEARN PIANO SO I PICKED YAMAHA P-45B, WHAT YOUR OPINION ON THIS ?? OR WILL I CHOOSE THE OTHER DIGITAL PIANO, YOUR SUGGESTION IS VALUABLE AS YOU HAVE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT PIANOS.
ОтветитьI have a piano. I got a keyboard so I can do more things. But, I realized my piano sounds better than all the keyboard settings. Bought it online.
ОтветитьI am lucky. I’m 62 and have enough to indulge in my hobbies. I want to learn music production, so I got a computer and use a DAW (digital audio workstation software), that basically turns your computer into a multi track recording studio. Because I wanted to learn piano, as well, I made sure to get a nice , 88 key, fully weighted MIDI controller (allows you to send key press information, including how hard you press them, to the computer. The beauty of this, is that you buy what are called virtual instruments, that you can then play on the keyboard. This includes many types of pianos and electric keyboards, but also any other type of instrument you can think of (synthesizers, guitars, orchestra instruments and sections, etc.).
Sorry for the elaborate background, but the keyboard I got is the Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S88 MkII, which I paid about $1050 for, but I see is now on sale for about $900. For those of your subscribers that want to explore music production as a goal for learning piano, realize you’ll need more equipment, but it is a great keyboard. Thanks a lot!
Oh, I almost forgot. I got a heavy duty, adjustable K&M piano stand, and a nice adjustable bench (a Hidrau 30”, which was expensive, but worth it for all the hours!).
I have an old Yamaha 100 clavinova which I love but the keys are sinking. I’m looking to buy a new digital piano but I need one with similar light action owing to mild arthritis. Anyone have any suggestions ?
ОтветитьWish i can get one ❤
ОтветитьGreat advice ,but one of the best tools shouldn't be on floor (psr 2000). everything help the pianist or keyboardist to grow on all situations .thank you good video 👍👍
ОтветитьI just got the same one as Dream Theater’s keyboardist. It works for him. 😂
