Actually went to the music store and sampled these. Walked out with the CDP S110 (successor to the S100 but hardly changed). Three reasons. Firstly, I liked the feel of the keys and the action. Secondly, the default piano sound was fine. Each sounded a little different but I didn't like one over the other. The Casio was dry, which is good for beginners because you want to hear the note unembellished with reverb. The others sounded like they added a little reverb to the default sound (you can add this with the Casio). Secondly, I liked the design. It looked sleek and fresh. The Yamaha 45 -- not that this should matter, truly looked like a slab. Finally, price. I caught a sale when purchased a year ago, $320. That has significantly less than the other models without sacrificing anything and a known major brand with a 1 yr warranty. I'm very happy with mine. Only downside is they cut corners on polyphony -- how many notes that can be played simultaneously. Top of the line ones have 192 notes of polyphony. The Casio (and Yamaha P45) have 64 notes -- the minimum. Nothing to worry about -- for now. When I start dropping notes because more than 32 notes are ringing out simultaneously (32 because of stereo -- 32 left and right channel - 64) that's a "good problem to have". I'm years, and years away from pieces requiring that much polyphony. Being able to play with a few AA batteries is a great option in favor of the Casio.
ОтветитьCDP has the exclusive Casio hammer touch
ОтветитьAnd what about Yamaha p45 vs Casio Px 770? 🙏🥹 Which one is better? 👀
ОтветитьAre the casio keys smaller? Like the keys are slightly shorter
ОтветитьInitially I though P45 was better until I saw a detailed review and comparison with FP10. The FP10 has the edge over P45 with more sound polyphony and 3 sensor. Casio is out sounding like a toy.
ОтветитьWinner Roland.
ОтветитьWhy do you only have the Casio with the negative title to start? “VERY CHEAP”
ОтветитьAprende a tocar primeiro, depois você faz a comparação
ОтветитьP45 👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьI have an issue with P-45, is A3 and A3# supposed to be quieter than C3 and C4 ? I'm not sure is it manufacture failure or my lack of strength, although I can't see, that author forcefully hit these keys
ОтветитьI hated my roland fp10 lol, just sold it to buy a yamaha.
ОтветитьFind yourself an old 2005 Yamaha P-80 - 88 weighted keys and you''ll be happier than with any new 'entry-level' unit. I have one that I've used as my studio piano/MIDI controller for almost 20 years and would never replace it.
ОтветитьIf you use VSTi fp10 much better. thx.
ОтветитьWinner: Yamaha
ОтветитьGood comparisons! Congratulations also for your performance.
ОтветитьWhy doesn’t anyone play with the reverb
ОтветитьCasio and Yamaha has 2 sensors with the same polyphony opposite to Roland
ОтветитьRoland Is Better
ОтветитьYamaha p45 is budget friendly n it's great
ОтветитьI have the Casio and honestly at higher ranges the sound is not consistent, medium range is like a 100€ keyboard. Then pedal Sp1 is definitely the worst thing ever I have to get the SP2 and then it has some point where the sustains cut it is not possible to have "soft pedal". My recommendation is to get the Roland
ОтветитьUn pedal sustian les vendría bien
ОтветитьDefinitely Yamaha P45: better sound and very well balanced.
Casio sounds plastic like a toy with lots of EQ, and artificial dynamics.
Many people are wondering "Why is the sustain on casio is so short?" "Did you use a pedal " Thats just the way Casio is, I tried it at local shop and was really disappointed with how short the notes were
Try to play with sustain pedal...and you will hear a good sound of fp 10 and p45
ОтветитьI want to buy th cdp s100, It is good for me? Im not a beginner.
ОтветитьOmg thank you for this vid, I actually wanted to buy new keyboard piano from this 3 option glad that I found this video it helps me alot 👏🏻
ОтветитьCDP S-100 IS THE BEST
ОтветитьJust use fp10 if you only want practice use cdp s100 for small jamming and use P45 to connect into sound system.. but fp10 keys are better than those two
ОтветитьHow many second long sample lenght of Piano p45
ОтветитьThe CDP, even just as a MIDI controller is value in itself because the keybed is decent even without the onboard sounds. Pair up the CDP with Pianoteq 7 or Garritan CFX and you've got a respectable setup with better piano sound than most digital pianos. You'll need a computer and a good loudspeaker system of course.
ОтветитьYamaha has great sound but the CDP is easier to transport on flight and in general. Having tried both i can say I'm really happy with my yamaha but if you move a lot I'd suggest the cdp.
ОтветитьAre you tried FP30 and Kawai ES110?.
ОтветитьWhat about their keys feeling? Someone has ever tried the Casio CDP s100 and the Roland FP-10? I mean, both of them.
I have gone to a lot of music stores but I could only tried the Casio CDP s100 because it was the only available, so, it's my only reference. It feels good, and I read that the Casio keys feels like an ivory piano keys. I got an offer with the Roland FP-10, it's going to be the same price between the Casio CDP S100 and the Roland FP-10, but I don't know which one to buy, because I haven't tried the Roland and I'm afraid (if I buy the Roland) that I'm not going to like how the Roland feels compared to the Casio... What should I do? Which one should I buy?
Not sure is I should get Yamaha P45 or Roland fp10 😿😓 any advice??
ОтветитьHow much you bought it?
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video! Initially I thought only Roland fp10 makes those loud clicky sound. Now I truly believe all of them is the same. I’ll go for the Roland fp 10
ОтветитьIF you rank then 1 out of 10 in Action, Sound and Overall Performance how would that be?
