Me a millennial: does just enough to secure my wage, no more, no less. I walk in at my start time and leave exactly on my finish time. I will not answer emails during my breaks or lunch as that is my time. I don’t want to attend corporate events and I don’t want to communicate with any of my colleagues outside of my working hours.
It’s not rude, it’s just boundaries. I value the separation between work and personal life and I won’t go above and beyond without fair compensation for doing so. 😊

I worked for million dollar company that opened up 100 stores after I started working and out of all my raises my paycheck might’ve gone up one dollar after three years of working with a company. There’s nothing wrong with younger people being more aggressive in their job interviews about wanting better benefits, and hours. Especially if these jobs can’t actually give us any real security or barely any vacation time it should be normal to get at least two weeks a year some companies don’t even think that’s OK

Millennials: "Can you offer me the same salary I left with?"

Interviewer: "No I'm afraid"

Millennial: "No worries, I'll just half ass it here for a month or two, while I Interview with other people until I do get paid"

Out of curiosity.. does gen Z expect others to give them stuff when they get hired for no jobs? I kind of get the sense that they just expect everybody to give them stuff.. A something for nothing kind of thing.. Minimal effort and contribution isn't worth a living wage, vacation, Healthcare or anything else..
I'd rather hire ANYONE than the entitled Gen and their lack of ANYTHING resembling loyalty or effort.. Good thing there's PLENTY of GenX and millenials to actually hire and work with.
The fact that gen Z seems to have nothing resembling loyalty AT ALL and will quit because they don't like something rather than show even a little bit of personal character or stick-to-itivness( and actually expect to be paid top dollar for it) is Really annoying..
The one good thing is that it makes all of the rest of us look better and we probably will get paid better for it when businesses realize their choice is to either pay and respect their current employees better or get stuck with a bunch of layabouts.. and the Gen X and Millennials benefit from the layabouts raising income for everybody

I’m on the older end of Gen Z (1999) and I think like the Millennial in this video 😂 If I interviewed for a corporate job, I’d probably say similar things!

I once had a boss try to get me to do his job for him, told me that it would look really good for me and that it would help me get promoted to supervisor in the future... I asked him "where are you going?", he said "nowhere, why", so i hit him with " how will i get promoted to supervisor if you're not going anywhere?"... his whole little scheme fell apart.

Yeah gen z are just tired with corporate nonsense. We have seen how they have treated the older generations, we have seen all the broken promises and corruption. Gen Z are giving up and look for easier jobs that won’t treat them as a slave.

Gen Z are some of the hardest working people I know. I'm in full time trade school for massage therapy right now and I'm in Gen Z, so many of my classmates are killing it in Kenisology classes, doing full-time school and working part time, sometimes two jobs on top of that, several with a baby. It's a tough world out there feeling like your slaving away just to make ends meet and knowing you'll probably never be able to afford a home or raise a family.
