I prefer to us my synology NAS to keep my Macbook HD clean. I don't believe in paying for cloud storage where my data can be hacked or sold to third parties. The cost of a NAS can be a bit pricy up front but you can expand the space as required and the data can be accessed anywhere in the world. I could go on but the main point here is that you don't need to rely on some third party cloud service where you data is not secure. There are many better alternatives available today.
