Baulder's Gate 3 is what I thought all videogames were going towards as a kid just thinking about it got me excited like Christmas Eve at 6 years old. Boy was I wrong.

Lasted for-EVER with all the expansions. Put well over 300 hours in and really enjoyed it. So much to explore.

I very often spend two to four times for Made in America all the time because I do actually fucking care. And often when trying to find the most ethical purchase, realize I don't actually need a thing and move on.

Game is good, combat is fun, but the game is buggy AF.

The process is absolutely important to me. BG3 is absolutely an amazing game because it cares about both consumers and studio. No battlepasses, no 'Act 3:The DLC', no social commentary in the guise of story. Process is important, vision is important. How you treat your employees is important. BG3 was a guilt free purchase for me, that counts for a lot.

Your fixation on product and results makes me worry about anyone you would employ. It feels tinged with the hustle culture that turned everything in our lives into a financial transaction.

about once per year i get the urge to buy a AAA game, buy it, play it for like 5-10h, realize i dont like it and remember why i dont buy AAA games anymore.
then i get back to my pile of (g)oldies i havent played or havent finished back then.
and the best part is, Epic, Steam, prime gaming, etc. gives you regularly these gems for free now.

Are you kidding me? He's saying that devs criticized Elden Ring because the UI was bad. And then that it wasn't that bad. I didn't even know they criticized Elden Ring for UI. But that was like my biggest complaint from starting that game to finish. Is how absolutely atrocious the UI in that game. I hate the UI in Elden Ring. It was like beyond awful. And he's claiming as if devs were just making a big deal out of nothing. That is more than a valid criticism. If they actually pointed out how terrible the UI was in that game.

CD Projekt Red spent a ludicrous amount of money from their budget to get Keanu Reeves. I wonder how good the game would have been had they forgone the celebrity association and concentrated on making the game good from the start instead.
