Hey Ben, Would you happen to know if there is a shortcut to select the main timeline clip and the clip above it at the playhead? I'm constantly click and dragging with my mouse to select the two clips and thinking that there must be a shortcut but can't figure it out... Thanks for the help!

Love this one, helped a lot. One question and one other shortcut I'd like to shout out.

Have you noticed with connected clips if you're trying to navigate using command arrow right/left/up/or/down to the shorter clips underneath that connected clip that FCP skips those, and do you know why or how to fix that?

One thing I just discovered is that Control-Option Up or Down arrow allows you to control the height of video compared to audio waveforms, so in addition to Command Shift Plus or Minus, this gives control of the other visuals of the timeline clips to have total control basically from the keyboard.

Does anyone know the actual shortcut to select the clip to the left or right of the currently selected clip in the storyline? As far as I can see Final Cut doesn’t support this.

Your videos are really helpful and clear - Thanks. I have been using a single FCPX library to create a growing collection of 40+ songs I have recorded that as you might imagine has become really large (147.3 GB AFTER deleting the render files). I have each song is in its own Event and create unique projects with different combinations of songs as needed for a "playlist" type video with my songs. Super convenient to have everything in the same library but now thinking it might have been better to put each song in its own library. The question is how difficult is it to use clips from the timeline in another Library so I can just drag and drop to the new project?

Thanks! Is there a shortcut to get to the beginning of the timeline quickly? Go to the start of the timeline instead of scrolling?

Awesome channel, thank you Ben, I am learning so much from you. If you are planning to visit Oktoberfest, please let me know, there is plenty of beer waiting for you :) Quick question; could you do a tutorial for motion tracking ( I am using Coremelt plugins )? that one might be interesting.

Hi Ben is there a way I can move the clip above the main timeline frame by frame. I'm beginning to do some music videos and precise lip-syncing is not precise using the drag function on the above clip. Great tutorials by the way loveem

Really helpful video Ben, I use EditorsKeys (Skin) on my keyboard which gives a quick colour reference to help as well. (Subbed!)
