in California you have to show proof of residence, usually your drivers license and car registration. my car registration had my name misspelled so they would not accept it. so I had to bring in a utility bill showing my address. we have a 10 day "cooling off period" so you can't get your gun for 10 days, even if you already have 5 guns at home. you have to take a gun safety test that is good for 5 years. we can only get 10 round magazines, and we have a "gun roster" here where we can't buy new versions of many guns. meanwhile possession of a stolen gun is a misdemeanor, and felon in possession gets you a fine. keeping us safe from harm,, got to love California

There is an online version of that form and at my shop they just have a qr code on the wall and people scan with their phones and fill it out. You could recomm3nd your shop to try this but still do paper versions of the form for those who dont like smartphones. Also , thoee outside of america, just one is needed to fill out when buying guns, so its recommended to buy a handful of guns at onw time! Because Americuhhhhhh. Alsp local state may requite you to register the serial # :/ but thays just in the less freedpm loving states
