If its still not working for you i can give some advice:
1. Install the file and put it on your desktop.
2. Launch it and if it says how you want it to launch the file, you can then find the program you want it to launch on and select that program.
Thats it done.
For example if you want to launch a (Name).cpp file and you have CODEBLOCKS you have to install and set the file on your desktop.
Then you launch it and it will ask you: How do you want to launch it?
Then browse through your files and find CODEBLOCKS and select that.
Then confirm it and its done.
