I recommend: Dying Light 2 - Stay Human (Review)

Finished playing Dying Light 2, hated it. Uniformly terrible dialogue, and obnoxious or average mechanics that had me longing for Far Cry 5 and Dying Light 1.

Lol he said you can kiss ray tracing goodbye thing is ps5 and series x can do ray tracing 1080p 30 with ray tracing the ps5 graphics card is in-between a rtx 2070 or 2070ti can't remember witch one but either the 2070ti or 2070 and rtx 2080ti but yeah it's in-between but what's funny is he can't really do it on a 2080ti really? Misinformation much lol now yeah maybe not 60fps without a 30 series card but the point is u say that u can kiss ray tracing good bye without a 30 series card lol good video other then some missinformation but yeah

The RT performance likely has more to do with 1st gen RT cores on 2XXX series card than anything else.

I had problems with two things in DL2: The abysmal writing - and the flailing hands in front of me when running. Who in the world does that? HAve you tried to run flailing your hands like that in real life? Makes you look like an idiot. But then, here we circle back to the writing.....
The best feature of this game is that you can skip all dialogues - line by line.

For anyone watching this a year+ later and is curious about performance: Don't use raytracing reflections. It is nearly solely responsible for the lower frames. Leave it on high or low (the difference is minimal) and the game runs very well.

If you had played Dying Light 1, you wouldn't recommend Dying Light 2. It is a painfully mediocre title carrying the name of a masterpiece. I found myself doing every sidequest on Dying Light 1 to explore the world and the quality writing, while Dying Light 2 had me so bored to tears I beelined the main campaign and never went back once I was done.

But do you know that the games parkour vanishes when you get the hanglider and upgrade it? You can fly more or less for ever and you can take of from basically anything.

After the may 2023 update in combination with the late story items + lots of stamina it gets waaay better. It's well worth it if you progress first of all the story asap

Waited until 2023 to buy at 50 percent off. Gotta say, I'm digging all of this, except the absolute shite idea of always being on an infected timer when you step out of sunlight. It's such a bad idea. Also, the game doesn't support HDR!

I've come back to DL2 this week due to the recent combat update and boy do I agree with the positives in this review. Maybe at release I had gotten caught up in the hype from DL1 being so good that my expectations couldn't be met - but when this came out it fell flat for me. But on replaying today I was wrong. Techland have kept pumping out the updates and pushed this over the line into GOAT territory.

I find a huge issue with reviewing a sequel while having no knowledge of the original. If you had played the original for a few hours you could have realised the vast drop in parkour and combat quality and mentioned it in your review.

Just finished the game and HOLY the characters, "decisions matter" aspect and Story overall are SO RUSHED, disspointing and completely unfinished.
That ending is nothing but utter garbage

If you think the nights in this game are tense, the nights in the original, will make you poop your pants.

If you ever feel like player another zombie game, I hope you'll give Dying light 1 a try. It is one of my all-time favorite games and I prefer it to the sequel. I think you'll have fun with it too.

Enjoying the start of it. But unusually for me, as soon as someone starts talking to the central character I’m skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip then I check the ‘journal’ section of the codex and the mission is something like ‘go and find some plants’. Yeah. Don’t feel I’m missing much.

This game was a disappointment.

Is the parcor better than in v1? Because v1 it wasn't that good. The main reason I'm hesitant to buy it though is because of the boss fights in v1.
