You can always use numbers instead of colors?
Ответитьpeople sleep on the steelbeams joke... HALLO!!! IT´S CRUSHING!
ОтветитьI've always liked sending 2/3 of the steel ingots to beam production, and 1/3 to pipes. Always seems like there's a higher demand for the beams in the midgame, and it makes the numbers work super smoothly, at least if you're working with maxed mk3 belts (270 coal/iron --> 270 steel ingots). It's just 180 for beams (exactly 3 constructors) and 90 for pipes (also exactly 3 constructors). Although you did a great job of making the 50/50 split work.
ОтветитьWhat's the software you use to make your flowcharts? :)
ОтветитьI think power use uses a modified compound interest formula, so I'd say it's logarithmic.
ОтветитьNice Content, but die dou know you can place Miners on a Modular Frame to be perfectly in line with the belts?
Ответитьamazing series 👍 i am waiting the next video
ОтветитьI started a factory at the god zone in northern forest and there used to be coal just on the other side of the cliff, but they've removed it. Feelsbadman. =/
ОтветитьIt would hsve been cool to see what'd happen if you used the Alternate: Solid Steel Ingot recipes for this factory. Great stuff all the same.
ОтветитьExcellent videos! I love the fact how you explain the absolute beginners information, I finally found out what a Manifold exactly is for example :) I also like how you explain everything, even up until the cosmetic part. Also looking forward to your cities skylines 2 videos etc...
You got a new subscription and a bunch of likes from me ;)
I get the flexibility, and wanting a walkable factory... but..... so much space. SO MUCH SPACE. it's clean. it's not tight.
ОтветитьLinear increase means that if you make a graph of it, it is a straight line, e.g. returns are not diminishing. The incline may be more or less steep; 1:1, 1:2, it is still linear.
Exponential growth means that the increase in cost is accelerating. Such a graph is "bent" and starts to point up.
Just wanted to clear that up 😄
WHAT? The search thingy can do calculations? Blown has my mind become.
ОтветитьI also like to use floating splitters over just straight conveyors, what I like to do though to make it look a little cleaner, is stack a few conveyor poles under them. The ground level conveyors can just pass through them and the splitters look like they have some kind of support.
None of this actually matters of course, it’s just an aesthetic choice because I don’t like things to just be floating.
Darren, you probably already know this, but... If you have a colors hex code, you can enter it box to left of the save disk image (clear as mud). This way you can paint 'stuff' your school colors or any other special colors. There are sites that if you upload an image, it will give you the hex code as you move your mouse over. I should be building, but am waiting for the steel beams to build up :)
ОтветитьMinecraft music in background I know Where are u from lol
ОтветитьThe term you're looking for with the power situation is "diminishing returns"
ОтветитьQuadratic, variable, or scaled use curve maybe. I didn't know that, interesting graphs on one of the wikis.
ОтветитьI have no idea what I'm doing wrong! Seems I can't count... My bottom floor is 1 foundation out from the top and I can't figure out the issue. I love the build series though, feels amazing to follow along.
ОтветитьI really wish there was some sort of stackable splitter/merger frame, something that could be built up under them so they don't just float there.
Ответитьideally, only the extractors should be overclocked, anything else, you can add more and even reduce their speed.
Ответитьyour miner not lining problem can be solved by setting it 90 degree away from the wanted direction then use 3 90 bends in the belt going around the miner to line it up with the wanted direction and it'll look nice and clean (though odd and "seems" unnecessary)
ОтветитьYou're using minecraft music in the bg?
ОтветитьI just recently found your channel and I really love Satisfactory. I wish my computer would be good enough to play it myself. Maybe I'll have a new one until the game comes out :D. Until then I'll be watching your great videos.
ОтветитьAren't slugs finite as well? Regarding over- vs. under-clocking.
ОтветитьI've not actually checked the maths (because I'm lazy) but I think that the power increase with overclocking is a geometric progression (results in less than exponential but more than linear). I'll check next time I'm in game.
ОтветитьWatching these Satisfactory videos with all the music from different games is kinda mindfucky :P Love the content tho! :) Keep it up!
ОтветитьWhen attaching stairs going up, look at the "floor" or top of the foundation you want them coming up off of ❤
ОтветитьWow, huge floor plan with a lot of air in the building. I understand why but still looks like overkill :)
ОтветитьI was not aware that you could type fractions or formulas into the interfaces like that. 🤯
ОтветитьSound like shaggy
ОтветитьLove this factory ... I added a bit of copper into wire from the node to the west and split the Steel tubes in half to add 3.33 Stators to the production line ... of course reducing the steel tubes to 10 per minute. Added smelter and constructor next to the Limestone miner and the assembler between the Steel Tubes and Steel Plates storage lines and the stator storage fit nicely in line between those storages.
Ответитьas a colourblind person, thanks for the acknowledgement. For me, things distinct from each other such as Red, Blue, White, Black, Yellow - Greens and Pinks are a grey area....
ОтветитьThe power scaling for under-clocking is more of a ratio than an exponential progression.
ОтветитьI'm badly colourblind and the colours you're using are fine. As long as you're using very contrasting colours.
ОтветитьYou can look up "colorblind palettes" for some ideas. I use the Wong palette personally, for a similar enough use case with Guild Wars 2.
ОтветитьIn regards to the strange splitting of the steel: At a later point you can split this very neatly with a smart splitter and mk1 belts for the 60 ingot outputs, and the 3rd output as overflow.
ОтветитьLegit can't wait for the next episode. Got satisfactory because of Darren and its been amazing. Following through the series, just finished tier 4 milestones after building the steel factory. Thanks Darren!
ОтветитьSomething I do is that I put Awesome Sinks everywhere. So I fill my containers and then have the overflow go into the Sink. That way the factory is always running at 100% and never backs up.
ОтветитьI've always been curious why you're not a bit more creative with your power set-ups. I normally put the power sockets on the foundations directly below the machines and this makes the cables become invisible. It could be just me that doesn't like looking at cables though.
ОтветитьYou should consider getting a parachute soon. It's become incredibly handy in early game until you get the jetpack since it's reusable now. And it's a great way to negate fall damage and glide further.
ОтветитьHi Darren ! Thanks for your hard work ! I love your videos as already said by a lot of people it is so satisfying :D
I was wondering how you can get 30 steel beams and 20 steel pipes from one 120 coal node, if my count is correct 30 SB = 120 steel ingots and 20 SP = 30 Steel ingots which means 150 in total ><
so how, how, hooooow ?
Ah that hill where the coal was is where I built my black powder manufactory.
ОтветитьHay, thanks for the series, brand new on the game.
Question, how do you activate the multiple (x10) foundation build option??
It's always better to undercolock unless your Imkibitz trying to use 100% of the world's resources with 100% efficiency
ОтветитьGreat video. I like that you show some of the more complicated components. This game is awesome, but even 1500 hours of in, I still learn things that the game doesn't bother telling you.
Ответить
