How about we do the dunk contest but the entire audience gets paintball guns?

Definitely super impressive, but there is a reason he doesn't dribble up to the free throw line. It's because dribbling makes it much harder. I think Jordan could take off from where he did if he didn't dribble. Still incredibly impressive though.

Davante was the most impressive none nba player in this clip. But, oan the yt guy that "dunked" from behind the free throw doesn't count. He tapped rim didn't grab it

He could have took off from almost a foot further back, too, it looks like.

The white dude was on a diagonal though, so if he had taken off from dead center it would be slightly further back. Which I think would give him a tie or put him just over the edge of Mr. Conley.

Some athletes never cross into sports like basketball because they don't want to deal with a bunch a zegros.

That second dunk fest was held in boca, you can tell by the tower in the beginning. Wilt Chamberlain used to have a place there, I remember seeing him around town, and I met him a few times. We would go grocery shopping, and we would see his head above the grocery aisles. He was a cool guy though, he had a restaurant. A lot of my friends and I would celebrate birthdays there. I don't know if anybody here remembers Wilt Chamberlain's if you grow up in South Florida? Pete Rose had a place right up the street, but it was not as good.

Jordan, from any footage ive ever seen was about 6-8 inches closer than this guy doing his free throw dunks in the earlier days (later he would step on the line), yea I dont think ive seen anyone jump from that far away and still dunk. It looked like dookey, but he did it hahah

I remember watching these dunk contests live back in the day. One of the dunkers used too much stickem, their hands stuck to the rim and they went flipping through the air. Can't recall seeing a clip of it since.

Longest, yes! But, no free-throw-line dunk was as aesthetically beautiful and complete as MJ's.

Pretty sure Wilt Chamberlain dunked from a foot behind the free throw line.

I do like the idea of a dunk contest with NBA versus other though. Bring in all the guys from the actual dunk contest.

They kinda already did that last year though with McClung

Y'all didn't show the Zion Williamson dunk. He wasn't in the NBA at the time. Not only was it at the free throw line, but HE DRIBBLED IT, and it was a pure power dunk, not a "squeeze me" dunk.

Jim Dylan didn't dunk it. Slow it down and look closely. Ball went in, but his hand hit the net, not the rim.

Crazy, I remember watching this. I don't think it was live, but it was like a pre-recorded thing that didn't have a set time, almost like it was syndicated. It's was great though, I remember a friend exaggerating in school that "Mike Powell" (wrong long jumper) had dunked from the Free Throw Line!

Not quite....but impressive, nonetheless.

"idea of losing a dunk contest to guy who aren't even basketball players" I think that would discourage the nba players more than anything from entering the tournament.
