As a few viewers have pointed out, I erroneously referred to the B-17 whereas I should have spoken of the B-29 in relation to the carpet bombing during the Korean War. Apologies.
ОтветитьBiggest lie is that erection of a wall secures borders anymore than a tumbling of a wall ends a cold war. Now Russia again have infiltrated England and Europe via BIG OIL and continue to eff up USA with a batallion of insurrectionist traitors in high or monied positions. Moscow still plays on man's inherent pity party/victimhood. While open democratic societies seek peaceful resolution and lose resolve to guard the heart of democracy against duplicitious governments run by dictators engaging the foolish who will act because of ideals or greed. Neither religion nor political ideals have ever stopped the carnage. Love your neighbor by giving justice must be tempered with wisdom. Put women and children first by LISTENING to them. Know your dictators will use women and children as pawns. Love with accountability is all that changes human nature but is least practiced.
ОтветитьEgyptian, Jewish, Dutch, British, Calvinist.
ОтветитьTraitorous piece of garbage ... didn't like the NATO tactics in the Korean War...lol! He did it for money
ОтветитьWestern Europeans are so weird sometimes. Acquitting accomplices to a jailbreak because you consider 42 years in prison for espionage to be cruel? What the fuck? That should get the death penalty or life at a minimum for espionage. And acquitting someone for moral reasons by itself is bonkers to me.
ОтветитьLove it. Thank you
Ответить..❤, jc ..
ОтветитьBritain's greatest traitors are the royal fam and their paedo friends. Let's put Russia in a bad light lol, tye West did the same crimes as the East in that period. I hte this cheap propagnda.
Ответитьa real loser!!!!!!
ОтветитьBritish intelligence has historically been deeply penetrated by double agents.
ОтветитьMisguided idiot
ОтветитьBlake spy is the same as any russian traitor who worked for the west, nothing surprising
ОтветитьI see a common similarity between the American soviet spies and British spies...
ОтветитьA spy and a 👃, So surprised.
ОтветитьHe was adept at deception ,himself and others.
ОтветитьBrilliantly researched, scripted, voiced and produced. I hope your channel continues to grow, because I'm down right addicted to listening to your stories
ОтветитьEvery time I watch a story about Blake, I am tempted to be made angry. Then I have to remember, he is British, not American. Indeed, it was the Irish that helped him escape. Being an Anmerican Cold Warrior, I am no fan of the Soviets. But sometimes you have to make a deal with a devil in order to fight a bigger devil.
My country had to team up with the Soviets to beat the Nazis. My ancestrial country had to team up with them to beat the British. It all works out in the end.
Well done. Loved it. Bravo!
ОтветитьCommie prick
ОтветитьB-17?? But. Really good documentary
ОтветитьGreat documentary about an underrated and brave hero.
ОтветитьIs the narrator real or an AI voice? It sounds weird.
Ответитьanother excellent video - but i fail to see what Blake actually won
ОтветитьTo live & work as a deep cover illegal agent inside the very core of an intelligence organisation must be the most lonely role I can imagine. Quite apart from the ideological motivation behind it, it must feel horrible to live that way.
I knew people for 50 years in my own family who were resistance people against the Germans in Denmark. Without ever knowing what they had done. Only one ever told me anything about it and he only spoke once. My own father never told me, my cousin told me after he died. It's always hidden even from close family. These were patriotic people opposing the tyranny of occupation. How much harder is it for people like this.
A small technical issue - they were B29s not B-17.
ОтветитьAs a Dutch living in Rotterdam, I extra thank you for this episode and your wonderful way of presenting this history👍
ОтветитьVery interesting! Thank you.
ОтветитьIf a movie is going to be make , the great actor who look just him would be perfect for the role . Robert Duvall for sure .
ОтветитьA man of high caliber and dignity. It's only too pity that neither capitalism, nor the USSR cared about ordinary people. For what its worth, it was all in vain.
ОтветитьVery good documentary. One slight correction if i may. Bourke is pronounced Burke. Great channel though. Keep it up!
ОтветитьCan't tell a b17 from a b29? What else is not correct?
ОтветитьThe funniest part was calling life in Moscow A life in golden cage . Long part of my life i spent in USSR believe The cage was not golden it was made of rusty iron.
ОтветитьGeorge was not a Jew through his father. Only possible if his mother was Jewish.
ОтветитьIf you have the time please would/could do a similar documentary on the author John Le Carre better known in spy David Cornwell, as he has a interesting background similar to Mr Blake here. In fact I have a feeling that when writing the book a perfect spy he used mostly autobiographical information in several incidents with Mr Blake. To create Magnus Pymm
ОтветитьEspionage to the core!
ОтветитьThe spy of all spy and he outlived all of them.
ОтветитьI wouldnt get too smug about the idea that one is on the "right" side. Governments and their agencies are identical where morals are concerned. MI5/ MI6 sacrificed children in Kincora NI. They control the IRA council as well as UVF.
Ответитьstill biased despite good documentary
ОтветитьTopic: Vitaly Yurchenko - this is one of the most intriguing cases cause he defected to US, then got back to USSR and literally got awarded.
Ответить"To betray, you have to belong. I never belonged". I love that line.
Me too, I don't belong. I simply learn and evolve.
Excellent
ОтветитьFunny how many spies came from Cambridge
ОтветитьA bit rich of him to say no one is innocent with regard to the 40 men who were killed due to his betrayal, and that he’d invite to tea the person who betrayed him as he wasn’t killed like the 40 men & played the victim when given a reasonable sentence for his actions. Of course Putin loved him. He was idealistic and blind to the destruction he caused.
ОтветитьLoved it. I especially like the fact you don't use blaring music, sound effects, or anything unnecessary in the audio department. So many good shows or movies have been made unwatchable by this.
ОтветитьIn his book "The Best Enemy That Money Can Buy" (1971), economist Antony Sutton revealed that the Cold War was a hoax because from 1917 onward Wall Street corporations sold to the USSR all the cutting edge technology that enabled it to be a worthy Cold War adversary in the 1st place. And the US Commerce Dept OK'd each individual deal. Shows like this one attempt to continue fooling the Public that the Cold War was real. America only created the Cold War to make Rich Defense Contractors even Richer. Period.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI cannot get enough of this channel. I feel like M is sending me on a mission to steal documents from the Kremlin
ОтветитьThe question arises whether his deeds had any consequences
besides the 40 dead agents and the stepping down of a
few bureaucrats. Sovied Union was doomed 1990.
Deleted again I see. The truth obviously offends you, although you do not possess the wherewithal to refute or debate.
Of course not when it is simpler to adopt the cowardly course and delete that which you don't like! In any event, I am
finished with you and will neither watch your videos nor subscribe to your channel. That's it, tovaritch!
