Love your explanation
ОтветитьYou're restricted by the speed of the ports and the processing behind packet filtering.
ОтветитьSir, greate video first of all, nice job
but your links don't work anymore
can you please edit them?
Perfect. Thank you.
ОтветитьI truly appreciate the time and commitment you've put into creating these videos! They've been incredibly valuable in propelling my career forward in the field of I.T. Much appreciated!
Ответитьill also make it simple and short: You are a blessing .Kudos
ОтветитьGood video.
Ответитьdo you have any cloud classes courses ?
ОтветитьBy definition this should be a gateway. Not a router. No routing is needed between these networks only NAT.
ОтветитьSir, I learn something that is relatable to in real world in every video i watch... thank you
ОтветитьWhy are you configuring 4 ports instead of 3 ports for the 3 host or computer device or network? Please i need an answer or please is the router part?
ОтветитьNow most networks in deparments are connected by wifi
ОтветитьI think it is important to point out that vlans allow you to assign interfaces virtually to different subnets within the same switch. I find it a bit confusing to describe them as doing the same thing. Vlans have one job, essentially to give you separation using software in which was previously only achieved using hardware routers for physical separation. Multiple subnets are utilized in either case and is an extensive topic of its own.
ОтветитьCan you recommend a second hand switch I can pickup dirt cheap maybe an old Linksys or something to have a play with VLANs?
ОтветитьYour videos are 110% better than my tutor
ОтветитьI will buy the switch you recommend, but where do I get instructions for setting up a vlan on it? Thank you.
ОтветитьGood explanation sir can you please make a video Cisco viptela sdwan ❤
ОтветитьPower cert teaches me alot
Ответитьthank you for providing a great way to learn these things! you are a gem in this community.
Ответитьwell done 👍
Ответитьthanks im about to start the second friction of ccna and i have soon the vlan chapters
ОтветитьI love how you explained this
Ответитьwhat about the laptop that connect on wireless. do we have to use router for big company.
ОтветитьI'm still confused as to why we don't just use subnets instead of VLANs. In this example for VLANS, there are 3 departments that wish to haves separate connections. I would assume we just put those 3 departments on separate subnets. What is the advantage of configuring the separation with VLANS as opposed to just subnetting. Forgive me for being stupid.
ОтветитьThis is the best
ОтветитьExcellent explanation
ОтветитьI use this for studying for my IT course and I always do well. Powercert is great at explaining fundamental IT concepts.
ОтветитьBit pedantic but you can’t use Vlan 1 on a switch as it is the vlan that contains all of the ports out of the box. It’s the one you can apply an IP address to so you can ping the switch.
ОтветитьQuick question, if a VLAN can do everything a subnet does, but without the need for extra routers, cables, firewalls ,etc... then what would be the benefit of using a subnet instead of a VLAN?
ОтветитьThanks I have a question though…when you say it is a logical connection in my head that means it’s using one physical wire? But it seems with Vlan you are still plugging different physical wires into different ports? I’m a bit confused…?
Ответитьthen you could also set up three separate switches instead of doing everything on one switch with VLAN
ОтветитьLove the Graphics, and animations, it really helps me visualize equipment and connections practically. So much better than watching a man giving lecture or reading on a PPT.
ОтветитьHi, I am from India and almost watched each and every videos you published on this channel. No doubt, each video you published is highly informative and to the point.
I can't resist myself to appreciate you, your efforts and the way you deliver complex things into much smaller, to the point and digestible form for easy to grasping.
This is truly appreciable. Even in my view you are far better than many high degree holding masters, professors, and professionals in this field.
However, I would be more than happy if you try to make videos on -
1. OSI Layers and their significance.
2. Similarity and dissimilarity between OSI and TCP/IP model.
3. About various protocols.
4. Network troubleshooting guide.
Thank you very much in advance if you work on my above request.
Love ❣️ from INDIA.
The guy explaining these videos is a genius - no one has made IT more understandable to me than this legend. Thank you man!
ОтветитьSubnets are not physical.
Ответитьyou need to provide us with information and a video on how to configure the switch to 3 different lands we listened to your recommendations and bought the switch but it needs configuration
you went that way don't Leave us hanging there... HOW TO CONFIGURE A VLAN SWITCH CONFIGURATION
the first half of the video was a waste because you're just going over the basics. wasn't looking for a video on basic networking, but was looking for a video on vlans. further your explanation on vlans is really bad.
ОтветитьNever found better than your explanation god bless you for your efforts, I would love to see video explaining difference between proxy and reverse proxy please
ОтветитьAwesome!
Ответитьwhat a illustrative explanation... thanks!!! ;-)
ОтветитьI was wondering what are the drawbacks of VLAN compared to physical subnets ?
ОтветитьExcellent as always 👍👍👍👍
Ответитьhow can you have one administrative pc (or alternately a shared server) that can talk to all the vlans?
ОтветитьMe: "accidentally" unplugs two cables from the VLAN switch then puts them back into the wrong ports
Ответить
