the man oozes sartorial elegance from every orifice
ОтветитьHe's right. My mom had an Ltd and my father had to go pick her up at work. The peice of junk never started and always broke down.
ОтветитьHad a few of those. Probably, all in all, the 85 with CFI was a better car until a drunk driver hit me. The 82 and 88 were a little nicer. Oldsmobile rode softer but Lincoln handled better. I kept the throttle body from the 85. Used to have the axles and the transmission. Metal was high so the axles are gone and the transmission was affected by the hit so it wasn't long and it was toast. So I scrapped it too. I don't know if I'll ever use the throttle body. I'd like to but I'd need a Windows 98 computer to write new software and I don't see it happening..
ОтветитьWhich JCMW episode is this from?!!!
ОтветитьAnd still today in 2023 why would anyone buy Americans cars or trucks ….biggest piece of shits on the roads…
ОтветитьI think that’s a 1985 Lincoln TownCar. If it has a center brake light in the back window then it’s a 1986 or 87.
ОтветитьI’d take that car over the MG 1100 manual I drove in a heartbeat
ОтветитьWhy do the American car manufacturers can't manufacture a vehicle as good as the Japanese car dad is so embarrassing to the car manufacturers of United States
ОтветитьI like the 1975 Cadillac, oblong quad headlights.
ОтветитьThose cars are really fun to drive!! I think he is wrong. I have a 1978 firebird and love cruising in it.
ОтветитьI actually liked them
ОтветитьI don't care what you say that's a beautiful car...❤❤❤
ОтветитьBut they look supercool
ОтветитьTonight on bottom gear, Clarkson starts driving recklessly behind the Stig, Hammond follows what Clarkson did and crashes into the side of the highway and James eats cheese while driving.
ОтветитьSlow and thirsty, they were still tons better than European cars of the day. Japanese cars shouldn't even be mentioned.
ОтветитьAnd cars from his home land were lawnmowers he can go stuff himself
Ответитьthis car is charming. i like it.
ОтветитьWe aaaaaaall LOVE American cars and MISS them.... while we have to drive rubbish egg-designed cars made by stupid designers.
ОтветитьThat is a late 80s lincoln town car.
ОтветитьThis recording being stretched to widescreen makes the car look even more ridiculously long.
ОтветитьHypocrat 😀
ОтветитьIf they're so awful then how come people are buying more of them than ever????
Instead of new car's BTW 🎉🎉
RIP America 🎉🎉🎉😢
I have owned 20 vehicles. The current UAW strike is another painful reminder of Big-3 incompetence. Enjoyed my '89 Olds 98 Touring Sedan and '16 Impala LT2, but my other US cars were shite, compared to the German, UK and Japanese ones.
ОтветитьAfter 1970 they were garbage.
ОтветитьWhich season is this?
ОтветитьHandles like a cattle truck.
ОтветитьHaha take that americans
ОтветитьI LOVE PIMP RIDES LIKE THAT ONE!!! PUT SOME CHROME RIMS ON AND A BUMPIN ASS Stereo SYSTEM AND I BE CRUISING THE BLVD LIKE A GRANPA GANGSTA!!!! I BE BUMPIN TO RICK JAMES AND THE 70 DISCO MUSIC MUSIC!!! I PUT IN SOME ZEBRA STRIPE EAT COVERS AND THIS 63 YEAR OLD HOMEY BE CRUISING IN LOWER RIDER STYLE!!! I TAKE A COOL DONATION OF THIS FINE ASS PIMP RIDE!!
ОтветитьThey weren't all barges in the early '70s. I drove a Plymouth Fury in 1972-3 and was very impressed with it. Except the cardboard brakes, which nearly killed me on Pikes Peak, Colorado! Now I live in the US, though, I've owned 3 Japanese cars in succession.
Ответитьand whats your comment about cars in the 60
ОтветитьThis car and its type is really like awful Clarkson was right...😂 the movement ..the shape ..fuel usage just everything about it is awful ...but at least american cars are better then most of the Chinese ones...
ОтветитьIn the 1980s, I bemoaned the poor quality of American cars and lauded the high quality of the Japanese. You'd have thought I was waving a commie flag over the Reichtstag or something. I thought my classmates were going to lynch me. I was eventually proven correct in every particular, of course.
ОтветитьI have not been impressed with British cars.
Ответитьyeah sure, and european were great in that time..
Ответитьmost women in america are in fact named myrtle
ОтветитьBritish cars in the 1970 they rust like crazy just looking at them
ОтветитьHe sounded just like a 1970 man’s man engineer
ОтветитьI loved my 1973 Oldsmobile Toronado.
ОтветитьThat car is absolutely stunning and most of these, regardless of the shape, branding and model were amazing. They used the same chassis for coupes, estates/station wagons and these are, without a doubt, the last generation of American cars that took pride in being American, offering elegance, grandeur, style and comfort. Fuel consumption wasn’t the most important factor, but look at the hideous mess and disposable rubbish that led to! In the last two decades, I’ve had well over thirty cars here, in the UK and half of them were classic or big Mercedes, the rest being other German premium, with the odd Subarus, Honda and couple of French family cars. I would have absolutely no problem driving one of these in the US if fuel prices were still at the level before a few years ago, at any time in the last seventy years. I keep looking at the American cars of the 70’s and 80’s, wondering what happened in the decades following, other than the US carmakers handing their market over to foreign makers.
Ответитьi have never understood why people keep watching this garbage show, i saw a few episodes and never again. lol
ОтветитьI love cars like that. They are insanely comfortable to ride in. :)
ОтветитьFunny videos about American cars. I agree on most points. But the English laughing at the Americans on the poor build quality of their 70s cars I find amusing since the English cars don't have a great reputation back then either.
Ответитьsinging or humming at the beginning is bad.
ОтветитьWow
Ответитьenglish cars were even worse
