So glad I moved away from the Tampa area, terrible traffic, high crime in many areas, lots of dirty unkept neighborhoods and countless office buildings full of miserable drones who drive like they have a death wish every day both ways, not to mention beaches full of drunken locals shooting each other, ultra woke local governments, corrupt courts, overpriced hotels and restaurants, way too many democrats moving in and a discombobulated interstate and roadway which is perpetually under heavy construction. Other than that great place to live...lived there for 57 years and wont ever
look back.

Moved here to be close to family...very discouraged with the housing market right now. I'm getting ready to pack up and go back...My husband and I will be ready to buy a house soon but I don't know if we can realistically afford what we are searching for. Tampa doesn't seem so nice to me if I have to settle for a house half the size of what I had. I do love the area though.

I grew up in south Tampa from the late 50’s a few houses from Tampa Bay. We didn’t have all the fancy parks. We were forced to entertain ourselves. Swimming in the bay unsupervised. Fishing or hunting. Finding a fallen palm trunk to make a boat and use fronds for a paddle. The largest building in downtown was the old Floridian hotel. Our small area was known as Rattlesnake Fl..Gandy/Westshore. Tampa has come a long way in my 65 years. Good & Bad!

As a Tampa native living here for nearly 40 years , I wanted to say with sincerity, please stay the hell out of our city & state. I promise you are not wanted nor needed here. We have reached maximum occupancy, please go to Georgia, Alabama , Louisiana , Carolina(s) ... anywhere but here. Go ruin another states traffic and housing market. Although I appreciate my house more than doubling in value over the last several years, I can't help but vomit in my mouth a bit seeing the plethora of out of state tags plodding about my beloved city. Honestly you don't want to come here, everyone has a gun and they will shoot if you look at them in the wrong tone or if they feel slighted in any way. Crime has exploded as well, just don't .Thanks in advance.
