Ryzen 5 3600 vs Ryzen 9 3900x in 1080p and 4K

This isn’t that good of a comparison given that in quite a few tests your graphics card is near 100% utilisation for both cpus

Ryzen 3600 is already a true beast, no joke.

3900x doesn't shine in videogames, it's the multicore usage where it out perform 3600, I got Ryzen 5 3600x (6 cores) and for gaming it was perfect but when it came to editing, that's where i saw the difference of having 6 and 12 cores. Recently i upgraded to a 3950x (i got it for 200€) and oh boy, oh boy oh boy, the difference in editing and rendering it's just another dimension, the smoothness and speed boost you see is worth the upgrade but again, only if you are going to use all the potential that those 12 or 16 cores are going to give ya, if you are just going to use it for games, Ryzen 5 3600 or 3600x is fine but again, nowdays in 2022 there are better options in intel, an i5 12400f is far better option than a 3600 or 3600x and even better price unless you can find a 3600 for like 150 bucks or something.

Thats why they call 4K gaming the big equalizer CPU wise. You are basically 100% GPU bound. Though frame pacing can be better on the higher end CPUs.

How are his temperatures so low? i just built a pc and i have temperatures between 75 and even 92! degrees C on my processor. Did i mount my cooler wrong? the 5 3600 one with the stock cooler. If i make all my 4 fans run at 100% all the time, it maintains at 75-80C . and this is with bios game boost off

i think the 3900x comes in handy with new nvidia cards... also it coasts 380€ in germany right now, really a deal for it. the 3600 costs less than half, but with half the cores so everyone who got 200 for a cpu should get at least the 3600. but 3900x is still the best choice for today and the future
