Does this gateway allow any more controls then previous models, meaning can you do port forwarding for voip setups with ubuiquti router 6767 Unifi Talk.
ОтветитьHas anybody got it working with a metro SIM card yet??
ОтветитьHey Nate, are we still using the 1,3,2,4 ordering for the waveform 4x4? Just wanted to touch base again to see if you have found anything better. I'm skeerd to keep moving mine around, I'm good at breaking things lol
ОтветитьHi Nate. Did you use the 1324or 1234 port combination on the cheetah?
ОтветитьI Marked 84 👍 Ups Here Today Not v 16, 23 @12:56 p.m. Afternoonish. Every. 😊
ОтветитьThankyou Oh, Soo Much. I'm Trying Too Comprehend It All, It's Too Yeah Break.
ОтветитьHI Nate,
I've just found your channel and subscribed. I'm a recent T-mobile 5g customer with the Sagemon 5688W and have been getting slow response, drop outs and speed test are averaging 4- 17Mbps Down - 10 - 17 up and about 35ms ping.
Have 4 bars signal strength. Can you help?
Best Regards,
Jack
Is that one the fx2000 ?
ОтветитьWill that new t mobile router pair with the asus ax11000 router
ОтветитьCan these antenas be outside in the rain
ОтветитьI have the G4AR I have pretty good signal. I can get almost 700 down and almost 140 up. Do you think it’s worth it for me to get the waveform antenna?
ОтветитьIt's 50 a month for 100gb which I not good 170 for 300gb which is way expensive
ОтветитьAre the waveforms okay to be place outside with weather ?
ОтветитьT-Mobile sales says they have no control of when the G4AR will arrive either in retail or direct sales. You will just have to wait until "someone" can verify its in stock. I did look at this gateway, but it is software and firmware limited by T-Mobile. The IMEI's are whitelisted at TMo and while some have gotten around that by spoofing the IMEI on their own equipment, you are still subject to the throttle and bandwidth controls TMo uses on those IMEI's. I have been working with a Mikrotik Chateau 18ax with the CAT18 modem and TMo, but I cannot get the Mikrotik software setup to handshake with TMo correctly and it does not work at the moment. It only supports 2x2 MIMO. Mikrotik is really designed for the aggregator business, and requires lots of obtuse CLI entries. Not recommended for the home/DIY crowd. In the mean time I have the Cudy P5 CAT22 router and the default firmware worked in 5G-SA mode out of the box. After the firmware upgrade and the recommended settings from Cudy for TMo, it works great. I am not using the TMo Home Gateway account for the Cudy. It is using a pre-paid unlimited data SIM from TMo. Using the wafers I get B25 and B41. Waiting on the external antenna install with the 4x4 MIMO.
Ответитьgood day is there a budget friendly antenna that would be under 100$ for the t mobile gateway that would work at all thank you so much for your time
ОтветитьSo I wanted you to know that Waveform sent out an email about the new T Mobile gateway and included your video.
So excited for you!!
Nater Tater, how do we get the new modem, we ask without success…
ОтветитьT-Mobile won't let me order one. How do I get the new one?
ОтветитьDoes it support bridge mode?
ОтветитьLove your content and just starting this journey. A couple of questions: T-Mobile provided me the arcadyan kvd21 gateway and I purchased the 4x4 MIMO External Panel antenna based on their input. Is the TMO-G4AR better than the kvd21 with an external antenna? And have you tested the 4x4 MIMO panel with the kvd21 to see which antenna connection combo works best?
ОтветитьHi, so I have been tossed around on the phone with T-Mobile from Tech Support to Customer Support and now Home internet sales and no one can seem to get me the G4AR. I have a cellular amplifier and I’m only getting 100mbps down, but it randomly drops. I can see the tower in line of sight where I’m located. I went back into the store and the manager told me he would call me back with information about getting the box, but no one has called or emailed me. Is there anything else I can do to request this box?
ОтветитьWill a T-Mobile cellular booster help your 5g home internet gateway network
ОтветитьHello Nate, I have an idea for you - since not everyone can afford the big 4x4 antennas at the moment, please compare the Bolton Technical Crossbow, Proxicast, Waveform and some anonymous brand from Ebay 2x2 Mimos in a shoot-out. That is of course if you haven't done so already and I just missed it. Just a thought.
ОтветитьThanks for the video. I'm somewhat confused - you say the speed went up from 265 to 291 but I see figures of 185/2.47, 249/2.65 and after 291/42.2. Just wondering whether you made a small mistake?
Ответитьstupid question - but can't seem to find the answer - there are CELL signal boosters for in the house - is there a such thing as an in-house MODEM/GATEWAY signal booster? if one didn't want to add an external antenna.
ОтветитьIf the telcoms were serious (confident?)about being cellular ISPs, they would use equipped installers who can pinpoint the tower locations, measure the signal strength, install an external antenna when needed, and optimize the gateway. Currently, it’s a roll of the dice whether a subscriber experiences reliable advertised speeds. Personally, I have enough hobbies that I don’t want to hack and babysit my Internet to save $30 a month. Cable ISPs are aware of cellular’s limitations and schizophrenic performance, and therefore don’t consider it competition.
Ответитьso my internet was good for the past like 2 years.but recently its been embarrassing.i dont know if it is the nokia trashcan but it disconnected multiple times a day. works fine and than it gets slow. am tired of relocating, rotating, plug unplug etc. by do way is there any cheaper option for a mimo anttena or anything that could help?
ОтветитьMy Nintendo switch won't let me play online (smash bros) using TMobile gateway. Help please
ОтветитьHey nate can I use a HD TV antenna with 5 g t-mobile modem?
ОтветитьI have the Waveform 4x4 panel installed and i'm having intermittent disconnects with my T-Mobile Arcadyan KVD21. Before I connected the external antenna my measurements were marginal, but now they are excellent: RSRQ=2, RSRP= -75, SINR = 22, Band= n41. Connections: 1-D, 2-M2, 3-M1, 4-M. Now, I have great speed, but the intermittent drops of service. What could be the issue?
ОтветитьI have the Inbseego FX2000-3 on the T-mobile home internet plan. is there a way to add external antennas for Band: B66, n71 to get a better signal? My cellular network data as of the time of this comment from the modem is
Network
Status: Connected
Technology: 5G
Band: B66, n71
Bandwidth: 25 MHz, 5 MHz
Network Operator: T-Mobile
Signal Strength: -96 dBm
SNR: 9 dB
Try The Long Ranger if you can get one it is a parabolic antenna.
ОтветитьI only got 15mbps in nj ... sick
ОтветитьThe most exciting thing about this new antenna or Gateway sorry from T-Mobile is they finally allow us to use antennas and there's much better antennas to use on the market than the ones that T-Mobile sells you directly very excited to get this new equipment and try it out with my existing antenna
Ответитьsaw this new gateway, but tmobile wont let me switch to it. So hoping my store gets some in stock so I can swap out to it. Don't feel like tearing my gateway apart to put an external antenna on it. Also would be great if my local tower would just stop acting up. speeds went down from 80Mbps to like 6Mbps this week. with an upload of a steady 20Mbps. not sure whats going on but lots of people returning them lately too. So frustrating, I don't want to have to go buy a $500 5G modem just to get the service I pay for.
ОтветитьNate what do you think about starlink sat would you recommend it.
ОтветитьYou can’t use it outside antenna with a inside apartment building. So your screwed with a bad signal.
ОтветитьI'm ready for that chester vid! I'm gathering materials to get my antenna installed higher up right now. Currently on SA with N71 and N25 pulling about 100/15. Cross your fingers that the cable is long enough! I'm trying to reach up and get a hold on N41!
ОтветитьHow do I get the g4ar and trade in my kvd21?
ОтветитьPlease explain the difference between TMOBILE home & business internet. Is it true that you get a dedicated IP address with business? This is important for those of us that work from home. Vpn's tend to not work well with the home version. T mobile's home customer service has a hard time explaining it.
ОтветитьI’ve learned SO MUCH from your videos. Thank you. I used to think that all that mattered was the number of bars. I spent some time testing my box in different locations, just looking at 5G SINR mostly, and tripled my upload speed (same 4 bars).
ОтветитьBTW, do not buy a 2x2 for use with TMobile 5G, waste of time. You need all four.
ОтветитьHello, is it better than the Chester router?
Ответитьi would like to see you put some Rubber Duckie antennas on that unit and just sit the modem upside down.
ОтветитьLooking forward to see what you discover with the 2x2 alone and maybe some fine tuning on pointing as well as adjustments to the gateway in the event that some of the internal antennas are actually ALIVE even thought you have a 4x4 connected
ОтветитьMany thanks for your time and expense in providing the BEST reporting of 5G devices. Your video's on T Mobile gateways have been invaluable. Anthony
ОтветитьThanks for your very helpful videos. One thing I would like to see is what improvements there would be if you were barely getting a signal with out the antenna, maybe 10 miles from the nearest tower, and then with the antenna. In my situation, I get maybe 50 mg down at its best, and completely unusable in the evening. Thanks again for helping us all out.
ОтветитьHow did you get your hands on this new device? I'm reading that you have to cancel your service, get a new service and simply pray you get one in the mail. Any insight on this?
ОтветитьDo you have to use all 4 ports say you have antenna one cable can you just hook it up to the number 1 port and still gain signal ?
Ответить
