Make custom orders PASSIVE with HelloCustom (2023 Customization Tutorial)

I don't understand their pricing. How much does it cost annually? Only $24.99/yr. plus .29 cents/ sale or $24.99 + .29 cents/sale?

Does anyone know which image is used for the final Prinity print? Is it the JPEG or PNG that is uploaded to Prinity and then pushed to Etsy or is it the PDF uploaded to Hello Custom that is used to print onto the product? The reason I ask is, Hello Custom has maximum file size of 25 mgs and a product I'm trying to sell is outputting a PDF file size way larger than that. I can reduce the resolution to get a smaller file size PDF but will that lesson the quality of the final print?

Hi Christina, when using HelloCustom, should the order approval always be set to "Manual" (for the store that has both, customized and non-customized products)? Or it can still be set to 24-hour approval time and then just don't use Printify SKUs in Etsy for customized products? Will the 24-hour order approval setting still work with the HelloCustom products (if SKUs are not present on Etsy to push these customized orders to "Other" folder on Printify )?

How are you handling orders that include non-HelloCustom orders? Since they cancel the order entirely to push it to HelloCustom, that's where I'm confused because it then cancels the other item part of the order. Thanks!

Hello Custom seems like an excellent tool, but my only qualm is that you can't change the text font color to match different product colors. This would mean we would need to create 2 listings for light and dark colors with the corresponding text that would be visible - in my case, black text on a white shirt & vice versa. Do you have any advice on how to get around this?

Curious if you have used Customily as well - from their site, it does look like you can select multiple font colors against multiple product colors which is appealing.

Loving your videos. One disappointment (that's not your fault) though: I signed up for Hello Custom specifically because it was supposed to allow me to pay a little more per sale instead of paying a monthly fee since I'm just getting started, only to discover that option has been eliminated and monthly fees are the only option. Again, not your fault, I'm sure you have no control over what they do. Thanks for all the great content overall.

Christine, what are your thoughts on seller's using the same phrase as another seller? For instance, I see lots of designs with the same phrase on multiple shop listings owned by different sellers, ie. "I don't need a good lawyer, I raised one", or they may just change it to say, "I don't need a good accountant, I raised one", and maybe they took it a step further and made the font letters different, colored and curved, is that still considered copying or is this considered "making it your own"? Some say, find a best seller phrase in the teacher niche, and use that saying in the nurse niche, etc. Just wondering at what point are we making it our own versus copying.

Does this work with a Shopify store, or other websites, rather than Etsy?

Hmmm - i wonder if those three dots next to the APPROVE button allow you to do other things, like edit the design? That way you could place it on both sides of a mug... Definitely one to check out.

So, I have one question and since you are always so gracious with sharing YOUR knowledge that as an seller you don’t have to give away any information that helps your business to your “competitors” and that’s also another reason you are in my “top main go to YT’ers-plus, I love that you don’t just push T-shirts, one print company or products” you try to broaden our businesses and for the tutorials you do, so again THANK YOU Christina!! My question is since this isn’t the first tool allowing this…why haven’t you used other ones that’s been offered and that links with multiple platforms and production fulfillment co? Did you not see good results? Flaws in their systems? It’s hard trying to know which tools are worth your $ esp as new sellers without experience. I do like this one allows a free service with a tad higher price per item and is still cheaper for mo subscriptions and cheaper per design. Any input would be awesome!! Thanks again!!

so if its a listing you already have that you want to upload into hello custom, you would have to republish it to etsy?

The good news is that within the next 2 weeks, Hello Custom is launching a fix for the SKU issue, where the tool uploads the SKUs for us. This is a game changer. Also, we can curve the text. And there are some other new features coming too within the next couple of weeks.

Will this work for current listings that have already been published to Etsy?
