NVIDIA GTX 960 in 2021 Revisit: 4GB & 2GB Benchmarks vs. 2060, 3060 Ti, Used GPUs, & More

will a gtx 960 2gb work on a 4k t.v.I am looking for a tv to be used as a monitor.Shall i go for a full hd 1080p T.V or a 4k / 2k T.V..
Please anyone..Guide me as i want to buy a big screen for my PC asap..

i just upgraded my rig yesterday 08/2023 had a 960 2g with an i5 4670, i played cyber punk at low settings and get an average 35 fps. i cant complain about it one bit, i certainly got my 190 dollars worth. i now have a 3060 12 gig with an 8 core i7 10 series. huge difference, cyber punk at full setting runs a 60 fps. im sure i could lower the settings a bit to get more fps but 60 fps is totally fine.

I'm still running my 960 haha. Got it with my PC in 2015. It started showing its age about 2 years ago. Also, the HITMAN series is freakin' awesome. My next GPU is probably going to be a 3060ti.

I never thought about how crazy it was being able to get this thing at MSRP back in 2015, it was the card I used for my first build in 9th grade. The times sure have changed haven’t they.

Whats a good upgrade from the 960 for constant 60FPS 1080p gaming? Whats the best Nvidia card for this at the cheapest price?

These tests make no sense for a Gpu like this

My first PC had a i5 4690k and a GTX 960 2GB. I played on that for about 4 months before I got a 1060 6gb for Christmas. It played every game just fine in 2016 and was only 120 dollars. I ended up using the 4690k and 1060 for about 3 1/2 more years before I got stimulus and built a i5 9600k and a RX 5700xt. Same built now just switched the i5 for a i9 only 4 months later and just upgraded to a 6900xt. This is my Ted talk

today i was in a junk yard getting a oem radio as parts. looked down on the floor and found a PNY gtx960 OC, i was pretty shocked to find out i could toss it into my living room PC and now i can play some games out on the couch.

Guys help me out please i got a msi 960 2gb and some years ago i was using msi afterburner to overclock it and everything was looking good, i didn’t use the pc for some time and today after playing some fh5 i tought about Oc ing it with msi gaming app but its stuck at 1190 mhz , i reinstalld afterburner now i can oc the memory but i can’t ovorclock the core its stuck at 1190mhz and it runs like that continuously and i don’t know what to do . I got a i5 4460 8ram 960 2gb 750w power suply thanks in advence

Hi does the gtx 960 2gb fit the asus prime a320m-k?

Well for me 90 fps is barelly acceptable. Since i got my first high fps monitor at 120 i could never play a game below 120-130 fps if it is a fast paced shooter or something similar.

Around 100 fps it starts to become ok, around 120 it starts being smooth, at 144 what my current monitor does its pleasing and at 165, which i could try out a few times at friends' pcs it feels really nice.
I am still waiting for a proper 360 fps 27 inch monitor.

with this as my gpu i run hundreds of frames on fortnite and 100 fps on gta v high everything, I've got a pretty nasty system so It definitely does hold it's weight

Somebody tell to Gamers Nexus that its possible to lower quality settings in game, you can run games in medium settings, not only high and very high/ultra.

Had to wait a year on evga's waiting list but I finally have a 3080 percent now. Upgraded from a 960 2GB. I didn't realize what I was missing; I was mesmerized after playing red dead for a few minutes.

I have this card (Strix 4GB ver) in an old rig still.. Sadly it's really hard to find an affordable upgrade. I think the 1060 is the next best step, but those are selling for $250+ used.

Also a gtx 960 4gb Can run VR games at 60fps (superhot and pavlov) around 1080p

I only play Overwatch on 1080p at medium settings, most of time time 55-60 fps though.
Would love to get a new GPU to build a new system to play things like BF2042, or heck even Overwatch at 2k 144hz.

I got two EVGA 960 ftw 4gb editions and I was in love... they were less expensive than retail and arent that great compared to others, but they worked really well! I love the look as well. Now looking for an upgrade.

I've got the 2gb gtx 960 some games are just unplayable when it comes to newer games requiring more than 4gb of VRAM

I'm running a 960 2g right now, and it surprises me by how well it can still perform, sure I have a 3700x, with 32RAM, but she's holding me over until I lockdown a new GPU. Maybe someone here can help me out actually, I'm here because I was googling if the card would give me issues captureing at 720/1080p were I to get an elgato capture thing...

Just bought a 2060 to upgrade from my 960 4gb.
Im returning it, the fan noise is horrible. Its a Gigabyte 2060, dual fan. It's so frustrating. Anyway, back to 960 gaming for me.

Look at online retailers, right now you can't even get a 1650 or a 1660 super for $200, this is just God damn madness.
