I just went to get a new NX 2024, or RX 350 First let me say Lexus has dropped the ball on the NX 350, It has run flats great but no spare tire kit unlike BMW X3 or Acura RDX. They should have a kit, for the car. They can not help you at 3 am in the morning when you are stuck on a long road trip on the side of the road. I asked if road sire assistance would bring you a rim and tire they said no. Not good! So I went to look at the 2024 RX 350 great spare tire now as far as the engine am sure it's a great one but it a perfect fit for the NX 350 it's the right size not in the RX 350 it struggles to get out of it's own way on merging onto a highway. Also premium fuel in both cars Wow have we gone backwards?
I drove a 2022 RX 350 and both a 2024 RX 350 and the NX 350 in real city streets. The NX got around 14 to 16 MPG, The RX 9 to 12 and low and behold the 2022 RX got 16 to 17.
I drive 80 to 90 percent City driving so the 2022 RX 350 was the clear winner. I took a highway trip yesterday driving at 50 to 55 with cruse control on and the 2022 RX 350 got 29.4.
So now I pose a question how do you save gas with a smaller engine when you are burring more of it?
FYI Acura has a major recall for all the V6 MDX and TLX. Engine lock ups.
What about jaguar XE 2.0
ОтветитьBMW is definitely not reliable anymore only as long as the warranty lasts
ОтветитьLexus has just made their vehicles too ugly.
ОтветитьI have owned Mercedes, BMW, and Audi products, but my favourites were Acura, where we owned several vehicles back to back. With Acura, be prepared to make friends with your local PDR (paintless dent removal) expert, because you’ll end on his Christmas card list in no time at all. The gauge of steel that Acura and Honda use is so light, dents can appear almost by just looking at them.
If you live in a city like Vancouver Canada, door dings are simply a fact of life.
Built on a Camry platform
ОтветитьHow about the Infinity QX60? Six cyl, no CVT.
ОтветитьLexus then the rest.
ОтветитьMercedes GLE is more reliable than the BMW X5
ОтветитьA video about reliability but can't say if the turbo will be reliable to be determined.... am I in the twilight zone? And the Acura touch pad is the worst entertainment nightmare to ever be installed in a vehcle... I know because I owned one for a very short time.
ОтветитьSo, you would prefer a non-turbo version of BMW which is notoriously unreliable, but not anything with a turbo engine from Lexus which has a long history of great reliability? your hatred for the turbo is just insane in 2023
ОтветитьI just ordered an X5 with the six, so glad to see it on your list. Lotta folks here questioning how you can “know” the reliability of new vehicles, but you can tell a lot from the history of the drivetrains, the basic mechanical architecture of which evolve pretty slowly, and are often sources of big-buck repairs. Also, major electrical components, suspension and wheel mounts, fuel, cooling and brake systems, and other wear items tend to be the same throughout the life cycle of a “generation”, which is generally 5-to-8 years or more. So, it’s not that much of a guess to look at a continuing model that I given a minor refresh, and project its reliability. But, there is some variation, of course. I have a 2013 GL Mercedes GL with 125,000 on it that has been nearly flawless. The dealer says its particular engine, which is the v8 that was standard before they made the gas 6 standard a year or two later, is an excellent engine, and I would have to agree. Sometimes you just get lucky.
ОтветитьHi thank you for the informative video. What do you think about the X5 M60?
ОтветитьJust one small comment on the new 2024 GX550. While it will have more hp and better performance, the overall fuel economy is only 1mpg better than the outgoing NA V8, so fuel economy isn't something to be excited about in the new GX.
ОтветитьWhat about the 2024 Caddy XT4 premium Sport?
ОтветитьHow do you know that these 2024 vehicles are or will be reliable?
ОтветитьMark, your car reviews are excellent and watch them all. I’m in the market for this segment of SUV so the timing couldn’t have been better! Thank you!
ОтветитьMercedes GLE and GLS, Range Rover and BMWs are the new Ghetto cruisers🤷♂️
ОтветитьLexus 350h is hard!!
ОтветитьAll crap MPG’s which is an issue at $7 bucks a gallon in California.
ОтветитьLexus just keeps getting uglier, the front end on that white RX350 is too ugly.
ОтветитьI still don't understand those ugly " sticking out" screens that in some cases block the view. Looks like a tablet put on with some glue, on a luxury car by the way.
ОтветитьWhere are the Benz lovers?
ОтветитьI’ve never heard of a infotainment system being described as “breathtaking”
ОтветитьI'm surprised you have the X5 there
ОтветитьBruh how did you know the reliability?? Its only 2023 and your review is for year 2024 😂😂😂
ОтветитьLexus turbo with directed fuel injection not the best reputation
ОтветитьI owned 3 BMWs including the 3rd Gen X5. It was the most unreliable German crud I’ve ever owned. The inline 6 maybe reliable but everything else isn’t. 3 recalls, fuel scavenging system malfunction, awd malfunction, horrendous gas mileage 14mpg, etc all before 20k miles. The BMW dealer tech told me engine was leaking oil after 15k miles and wanted $5k to fix. I laughed at his face.
ОтветитьBMW has really stepped up its game with reliability, if only Mercedes did the same...
ОтветитьHow yk they reliable????
ОтветитьWell the x5 and the Acura the best of the bunch!!lexus every new ones more horrible than ever and boring cars!!
ОтветитьAnything is or should be reliable new but wait until the warranty expires and then get it towed to the shop
ОтветитьDo you remember what happened when Ford put twin turbos in their cars and trucks, they will not last because too much things to break and they won't get the mpg as stated
ОтветитьA luxury SUV isn't used to haul garbage to the dumpster, it's for luggage purposes only
ОтветитьI would rather have the older Lexus and Toyota, because we don't need turbos to break down soon
ОтветитьWhat about the X5 40d? I feel like diesel beamers are the most reliable out of all except for the egr and dpf crap from time to time
ОтветитьGreat content as usual. Can’t believe my x5 made the list lol. Does g05 2019 x5xdrive40i have transfer-case issues?
ОтветитьAnother video sponsored by Lexus
ОтветитьFor me I would NEVER buy any of the NEWER Lexus 2023-2024 because of the turbos and it’s cost a fortune to replace the turbos and engine. Especially with a Garbage LX600 with over 130k bucks. Stack with GX it could be reliable V8 one and it’s still very good
ОтветитьGlc300?
ОтветитьCan’t go wrong with Honda, toyota, Lexus, and Acura.
ОтветитьNot to split hairs but I think the only real SUVs on your list are the GX/LX The rest of them are crossovers. And while you may say it's just semantics, it's really not though. Crossovers don't really stack up to a real body on frame SUV. And that's fine. I have one. It's a car that's rides a little higher. But there are things that you can't /shouldn't even think about doing in a crossover.
ОтветитьThe era of ICE SUV is soon over. Should start to think electric luxury
ОтветитьThe problem is that you can't say that there are any reliable vehicles in 2024 because you don't know if a 2024 product is reliable until it's been driven a few years.
ОтветитьMark I watch every single video you post. Love watching the information you through out for us. Can you make one dedicated video about BMW X3M reliability. 🙏 please
ОтветитьWhy isn't the Genesis GV80 on the video markie? Man markie, how many clickbait videos are you going to post just to get views for your lowly income?
ОтветитьIs the maybacth good Ik it’s not a suv but just wondering
ОтветитьMark, great review along with a new downtown hair style 💪🏻🇨🇦
ОтветитьThank you. Big relief to see the X5 4th Gen made it on this list... I own a 2020 BMW X5.. I love it!!!
