Pentel Ain Stein, 3B and 4B 0.5mm leads. can go as dark, as the darkest Faber Castell leads. Even their 2B can go really dark if you keep layering, or add a bit more presure.Add a Graphgear 500 0.5mm pencil and you have the best pencil for drawing!!!
My favorite drawing paper, is the Hahnemuhle Dessin 150gsm (quality that leaves you speechless!). Another great choice, for finished work that is going to be sold, it's the Arches Hot pressed watercolor paper.
For lead holders, Kohinoor 5340 for sketching and Faber Castell TK4600/9400 for drawing, are the best in the market. Tip, use the same leads as the pencil brand, on each pencil, they also make the best leads and you also get compatibility!!!
Best Sketchbook: Canson 180 Artbook or Canson Universal (same paper on both)
PS: Those are the best drawing and sketching supplies you can get. (best in terms, reliability of quality and performance)
Kneaded eraser helps as well😊
Ответитьawesome
ОтветитьI have a 10B pencil which was requested by one of my relative coz i complained abt how my pencil wasn't dark enough for the realistic drawing details. But it wasn't dark at all and i always thought why isn't it.. Now i understand it needs to sharpen pretty well.
Ответитьl prefer the pentelgraphgear 1000😊
Ответитьwhich paper do you use?
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьYou all could just go with a 8B or a higher grade pencil instead of the black polychrome it just works fine and you know what if you do so you can also use the mono zero eraser.
ОтветитьWhat pencil holder are you using for the polychromos pencil?
ОтветитьI need that eraser but I use whatever I have only 1 pencil ✏️ for drawings ☺️
ОтветитьI quit drawing as a kid even though I was told by teachers and family I was really good. I let mean kids discourage me from pursuing art and now at 33 I’m getting back into drawing. Your video is very helpful 🙂
Ответить1. Clicked the video
2. She went straight to the pointers I was looking for
3. Demonstrated all of this under 6 minutes (ignoring the 5 seconds)
4. Received great insight
Kirsty you're a beauty! 😎
Well, I use up to 8B in mechanical pencils and, with the right pencils, never have a problem with the lead breaking. There are very cheap mechanical pencils on the market now that you can use with no lead at all extending past the pipe. These even allow the use of 0.3 lead without breakage. I do wish I could get somewhat more expensive pencils that have this feature, but the cheap ones work very well. I can also use very soft leads in drafting style mechanical pencils without worry about breakage. It just takes a little practice.
This said, some things are just easier with woodcase pencils, and I find very intricate detail is easier with woodcase pencils because I can get a sharper point. I don't know what kinds of pencils and sharpeners you use, but I have no trouble at all with the lead breaking when I sharpen a pencil., even if it's a 9B, which is the darkest I use.
I don't liking colored pencil in a graphite drawing. It does work, but but even with the best colored pencils, I still don't like how difficult it can be to erase., and, for me, I can get very dark graphite down just by using softer pencils such as the 9B I mentioned.
Oddly, I do like using some graphite in a colored pencil drawing. I use graphite in two ways. The most obvious use a graphie pencil very lightly to test whether what I want to achieve actually looks right. But there are times when it's easier for me to get certain tones with graphite than with colored pencils. This will usually be in a very small area, but sometimes I like using graphite in the background of certain drawings.
I do LOVE the Tombow eraser. When outside, I often use the eraser on my drafting pencils which are almost exactly the same size, but the Tombow is better. It's just that sometimes, out in the woods, or sitting in a restaurant, convenience makes up for a bit of extra quality, and the drafting eraser is already in my hand.
Nice list. I will definitelly add a white charcoal. Must have for lights, especially if you use a black pencil.
ОтветитьShe seems to be a most charming young lady and quite a talented artist. Unfortunately I do not speak her language so I didn't get much out of her video.
ОтветитьIncredibly useful tips on products, thanks.
ОтветитьI never took art in school although art is my favourite thing in this world and now I regret it. I recently had a miscarriage a few months ago so sunk into a deep depression and getting back into art has really helped me and so have your videos so thank you💗I’ve learnt a lot from you!
Ответитьthanks I'll use your affiliate links! Never drawn / sketched before and I was overwhelmed by 12 different pencils to start with. I assume this also works for bloody beginners who start with sketching or would you recommend to go with other stuff?
Ответитьexcellent.
Ответитьthank you mrs. krusty!, everything you taught to us was really helpful!
Ответитьang ganda i mean beautiful
ОтветитьOoowavvvvv
ОтветитьGood! I subscribed, i draw too, i hope that my drawings can inspire
ОтветитьThank you for sharing. What's the sharpener that you use to sharp the 4B pencil? love the pointer that it given.
ОтветитьJust a little extra thing: you don't get 'darker' graphite, it gets softer, the softer the pencil the more goes onto the page and then adds 'darkness'. Just a random little technicality that bugs me sometimes. This is great tho, thanks Kirsty.
ОтветитьHer fingernails 🤢
ОтветитьThats awesome. I'm gonna try out that black polychromus pen tomorrow, awesome tip! I'm combining soft charcoal with graphite sometimes, but I dont like the messyness of it, and also very hard to erase, if not impossible when it's gone deep enough.
ОтветитьAlso, there are different grades & sizes of mechanical pencils up to 2mm.
ОтветитьI can shade with almost any type of drawing tool, pencils, colored pencils, crayons, pens, colored pens, paint (using just one paint colour), and many more types!
ОтветитьThings that You Need:
1. Mechanical Pencil
2. Darker Graphite
3. Blending Stump
4. Black Polychromos
5. Tombow Mono Eraser
What kind of paper you using mam... Please tell me that
Ответитьbeautiful
ОтветитьGood lord, the British accent is so attractive lol... Anyhow, back to reality... thanks for these art tutorials and tips!
ОтветитьStunning artwork! I love it 👍🇦🇺
ОтветитьCan I sharpen the stump?
ОтветитьMe who is an anime artist wondering if this will actually help me in anyway cause I already use a mechanical pencil
ОтветитьWhy is the tumbo mono eraser not erasing smoothly for me?
ОтветитьDanke für deine Tipps .
ОтветитьI appreciate videos with dense information and meaningful content, so many videos now never get to the point and are filled with rambles/sponsors/ads that take up the majority of the video, so thanks, very helpful video!
Ответитьthank you so much you really help me out
ОтветитьHere
We will call that mechanical pencil as penpencil in my school
Its looks like pen but pencil so penpencil
👍❤
Ответитьtombow eraser pen??? ohh i just ordered the same brand of eraser pen you've been using
Ответитьcan u recommend any charcoal powder bands pls ?
ОтветитьIf you can master a cheap pencil and eraser, that's a true artist. 100 years ago they didn't have all these fancy pencils and still had fantastic art.
ОтветитьI all I need is that eraser. I'm too scared to erase the shading, it feel like I have to redraw or repeat the same process I make.
ОтветитьThank you for the drawings tips and I have to get a mechanical pencil
Ответитьi need that all five tools
ОтветитьThanks for very informative video. What is the pencil holder your using to hold the polychromos pencil. I think you left it out on the video.thank you!
