MacBook Pro 13-inch (2020) first look

This MacBook, in the era of M-series MacBooks, holds the distinction of being the fastest 4 port 13 inch MacBook Pro. On this design, you can currently only get 2 ports if you want an M-series processor. That being said…. Most people would go for the MacBook Air or 14 inch pro anyway, but it’s still nonetheless an interesting tidbit to know!

I remember watching this 3 years ago just before I bought mine. Miss the Diether and the Verge nostalgia so much 🫡

is it normal for the area besides the trackpad to heat up?

A fantastic machine. I managed to grap the last sealed one in my country with maxed out stats (4 TB SSD, 32 GB RAM and the i7 processor)…such a great machine, very capable and a very beautiful design. Even in times of the M1 Max and the M2…I would never trade it in! 👍🏻

RULE 1: Don't waste your money on a mac if you'r going to use Adobe. "Renowned editors" only use Final Cut Pro X for many many reasons. FCPX is made for mac much faster. Adobe cannot and doesn't support ALL the cores therefore you lose hyper-threading and 1/2 of your performance. I am a professional editor with over 25-years exp. ALL the "renowned" professionals use finale cut pro x simple because it maximizes performance. Apple Compressor is superior to adobe in every way to Adobe. Final cut pro x has much better mixing audio software Logic pro X. Affinity Photo is superior and must faster than Photoshop on a Mac.

I feel so sad for anyone that got this model. Going to be so slow compared to Apple’s arm laptop line in a few years (probably won’t even support many new OS features) heck, like half of Monterey’s features only support m1 devices.

the hardware lifetime is so short
it seem there are defect in materials or deisgn and poor workmanship

for the developer: I don't know which one you want to buy, but in the last 8 months I used the MacBook Air 2019 model with, 8gb ram and i5. still, I'm using eclipse, MySQL, vscode, sublime, parallel, and already have so much package and dependency installed like node js, java, etc... and work properly without any disturbance and NO hanging issue. and from battery backup is also good. I love my mac compare to windows, as all know mac is top of Linux, so for programmer its best. and one more thing. MAC IS LOVE FOR PROGRAMMER.

Honestly this is the first time I've seen this guy excited about a product. Most of the time they review products because they have to. I also think that they uphold the product in such different prosect because if it were not apple products, the minor inconvenience would have been a big deal breaker. Just my opinion

I just got the base model of the MBP 13inch. Is it normal for the laptop to shutdown a bit slowly and not immediately? Takes about 8 seconds to shutdown.

APPLE be like:
APPLE 2016: lets ditch all the important ports in laptop and let them buy 50$dongels









APPLE 2026: ok now lets ditch the trackpad and sell an individual trackpad and sell it for as LOW as 150$
