Why Blender Is Better Than Maya (and why you should switch) in 2024

I've just watched a video from industrial light magic, they are talking how it's nice to be a generalist. Throughout the video every single 3D software is Maya on countless computers

I use both Maya and Blender, but as a 13+ years animator in the game and vfx industry I would never chose Blender for animation. It's definitely got it's advantages in other areas but Maya being an actual animation software is far superior in that regard. Great video!

Whenever Blender improves its UV mapping and Retopology tools to the level of Maya's, then I'll switch over.

Is getting to the point, at least in the Games industry that it doesn’t matter what modelling software you use. This very reason is why Blender is getting more adopted and taking over. Blender is just the faster tool to model on and it has so many more resources

Blender is king!

I advise anyone who is using Maya or any Autodesk tool to learn Blender, the experiences that you spend learning such a tool were a waste of time and a real joke
for us as artists and the whole industry, when you know that there is a beast production smart tool
that can do all that in a fast and creative way and plus it's FREE
