Real Fix for Android Not Receiving Texts - SMS [SOLVED]

Wouldn't that delete all of your current messages and the thread of messages???

When you "clear data" do you lose all the texts you've previously received?

Awesome thank you!!!! This actually works. I did try clearing the stuff on the settings. That didn't work. I tried downloading another message app like mentioned and my goodness I received over 20 texts within setting it as default. Thank you!

Just like every other video on this problem this is fake.

Somehow my text went into MMS and it's been stuck like that.
For months I have been looking for the option to change mms back to sms months to find the sms and it's simply not possible because there is no such option.

There is also no such thing as clear cache shown in this s video.

People need to stop uploading fake videos it's beyond infuriating

I don't have a problem receiving texts I have a problem sending him 1-minute it'll let me send a text to someone and the next it won't send anyting and I've done this on my phone and it didn't fix anything

For the rest of you still having issues (2023+) AT&T and Cricket, maybe other, have switched to HDVoice, and other tech move. This will not only prevent text, but may suspend your account if your SIM card is in it. check your new phone first to make sure it is compatible to prevent account issues. Took forever for many of us. Good Luck!

Just commenting to thank you for this video. Clearing the data and cache and restarting my phone was the exact thing that fixed it. Once I restarted, I got a ton of messages flooding in at once lol.

I have 3 contacts that reply to my txt that go to my email. All others are not a problem. They were in a goup chat.

The only thing that worked for me was getting an app where it gives me a different number .. no matter how many factory resets mine just doesn't work
