I Wore The Rolex Platinum Daytona For 7 Days - My Honest Thoughts!

I tried on a platinum day date and I couldn't believe the weight of it, so special unfortunately I'll never get to own one, just in the process of moving some money around and hoping to purchase a deep sea, this will be my sports watch next to my panerai luminor

Thanks Charlie, this is a beautiful watch and one that for those who are fortunate enough to own will be enjoyed no doubt. As for the cost, well it’s all relative and no different to anything else of true luxury and indulgence so no point in negative remarks in that regard. Anyone who can afford to buy it can probably afford to lose it too so wouldn’t wouldn’t worry too much like those commenting about the cost. Gorgeous watch, thanks for sharing the experience.

I agree with you. I tried on a steel daytona at the dealer, it was much smaller than I thought. Pretty, but I didn't understand why it felt so small. It would look good on skinny people.

A very unique and rare piece! Honestly I've never seen it in person, but this watch doesn't cut it for me. It doesn't look as elegant as the pikachu daytona or even the panda dial.

Platinum is special. Unique look and feel. Makes gold look cheap, but only if you know the look.

Great breakdown! Happy to hear your thoughts. One thing that did surprise me a bit was you not feeling comfortable to wear it out drinking, but wearing the Pikachu instead. If anything I'd imagine a yellow gold watch would attract much more attention than a platinum watch that to the uninitiated looks like a "regular" steel watch. Your decision of course. I'd think twice about even wearing a Tudor out on a night like that personally, so for you to wear the Pikachu shows you've got more confidence than I! Great vid.

I have this watch . Overpaid for it last year . Definitely feels special on my wrist . I own a panda daytona as well . Panda feels fake because of the weight difference. Get a lot of looks from those who know and not much attention from those who don't . I like that aspect of it. Weight of the bracelet is very heavy all around which doesn't give you that dig into your wrist feeling from a top heavy deepsea . Very well balanced because of that . Worst part , 3k a year to insure it which is a must at this price point.

My friend has a pre-ceramic Daytona and every time I put it on it feels small for me. I feel better with my 41mm sub. Mybe the cermamic would give a bit bigger feeling of a watch.

The only missing mandatory feature (for me) is the use of ceramic coated pins in the bracelet. I do not understand why they have not added it for the new version with such a price point on a such soft metal.

Look at the surface of the caseback, the daytona wears so good, the day-date on the other hand is horrendous.

I have the new version. The display caseback is amazing. Extra good finishing on the movement. Ways way more than a platinum DD.

Great content Charlie the platona and gmt meteorite is my grail watch sadly both out of my reach.

This last version has a solid platinum back — while the newest version has a piece of glass replacing that solid platinum back piece. Fun to see the guys once but after that I prefer being able to say simply/ the entire watch is solid platinum. The price did not go down because of the watch has less platinum — in total. Good trick by Rolex. They did it to remove the platinum back piece otherwise why not put the observation back on a submariner or a Stainless gmt? Because the stainless back piece is cheaper than even the glass back. But a solid platinum back piece is worth many times more than a piece of glass…. They cheapened this grand piece.

Interestingly wearing. Right handed watch on my right wrist - being left handed- the knobs don’t push into my wrist like it does worn on the left wrist. I always take my watches off to adjust time or date anyway and I bet most left hand wearers do also.

The weight is wonderful on the wrist. Feels like money…

Bought one but now can not sell it so better do a video praising it to maybe find the loser to move it. Why would you be a rich loser to buy the old model when the new 2023 one with an actual platinum ring around the bezel exists. It’s obsolete mate. The old bezel on any ceramic Daytona screams gray market “1mil%” as he says. I would rather suck some AD’s dick and buy tons of lady’s dayjusts for my entire extended family then eventually get one new. Would probably end up paying less all together anyway. No haters
