I do understand the not finishing to game thing I do that and I think it's because when I finish a game or an anime I loved I feel like someone literally died I feel sad it's gone it's over I can never experience for the first time again I know that's crazy but that's how attached I get to games anime and sometimes books

God I wish someone could mod Darkest Dungeon 1 in DD2 engine. Or maybe make DD2 animation mods for DD1.

Cool games. At a recent steam festival, I played the demo of another potentially good game - Arnold Bounty Hunter. It looks more like the first Battletoads - there are not only fights, but also various adventures with platforming, hydrocycles. It also looks interesting. I liked the demo.

Darkest Dungeon 2 sounds like a huge improvement to me. The fact that the party is preset, and you get by with it through ups and downs, is what makes it sounds so good. Definitely going to try.

Super pumped for Xenonauts 2, downloading demo right now, full release can't be too soon. :D
They should have remade UFO Enemy Unknown with updated graphics and some mechanics.
Still Phoenix Point is still really good as is XCOM: Long War and stuff. :) Happy TBSin all.

I hope the ruski units are as incompetent, weak and pathetic as they have proven to be in Ukraine in Broken Arrows...

Plan B and Fabledom are quite shallow and bring nothing new to the table. What i would recommend is checking out Desynced, it truly is the next big thing for automation/factory strategy games.

Excited for broken arrow

Check out Lakeburg Legacies if you like CK3 and wonder what kind of romance the lower classes of medieval society would entail. It's a very charming game.

Shadows of Doubt isn’t in this list it isn’t a strategy game but it is amazing. Kinda like Deus Ex but entirely around solving crimes

Is it just me, or does "Phantom Brigade" look like a weird cross between MechWarrior the original X-Com remake? Oh, & to answer your question: A missile boat with heavy armor & some Melee options for when the enemy gets too close or I've run out of missiles. Maybe a machine gun or two for medium-range engagements.
Broken Arrow is definitely a PsyOp by the US military, to desensitize us to the possibility of Biden getting us into WWIII.
So is The Great War - although this looks more like a computerized version of RISK, down to its tabletop nature.
Xenonauts 2 is just a reskin of the original XCom games, with the graphics level of XCom: UFO Defense. Although, it does have some aspects of the remake - like the S.H.I.V. - as well.
Planet-B Terraform looks like a cross between Anno 2205 & Railroad Tycoon, but is boring in the extreme compared to those & deals with terraforming - a subject I am almost violently opposed to. I would rather planetform our species to match the planet than force the planet to conform to us.
As for the rest of them...I don't really care enough about any of them to comment, except to say that a windmill that doesn't spin isn't worth building into a game - no matter how important it may be to your city's continued growth.

Urban Strife is probably the most interesting of the Fest demos to me because I plan to buy it when it is completed out of EA.
Also the Capes demo too.

Why do some of these games look like they could have been made in 2002? I mean, come the fuck on man... What's with these graphics?

I had no idea Phantom Brigade had dropped a demo on Steam! I have been eyeing that game for ages, but this news somehow passed me by.

I almost never play strategy games. But with the steam next fest, i can try out demos and explore this genre.

Not because I BOUGHT them on Epic - but because the Epic users did all my beta testing for me so I get a completed and much less buggier version to play way on down the road

Lots of good stuff here - definitely gonna work my way through a lot of them, but Phantom Brigade is top of the list.

I grew up on Front Mission, always hungry for turn-based mech games and I've been starving for years since Battletech.

Phantom Brigade just doesn't do it for me. It feels very shallow and the mech designs are ok at best.

Hope Sons of Valhalla have acknowledged the Kingdom games cause the some of the gameplay and the graphic are the same. It looks like their is enough unique stuff though
