Ответитьwhat if im in the army as a flight medic? i just joined and i enlisted as a combat medic. i would like to be a flight medic in the army and then get out after 4 years and be a civilian flight medic
ОтветитьHey Sam am a final year paramedic student and my aim also I wanna be flight parmedic and I really learn more information and ideas
from your video thanks man.
The main concern I have right now is that I'm 33. Am I to old to consider this path? I'm currently a firefighter for the county. I have EMT but we're not dual service (ffs essentially get toned to med calls as a way of establishing the criticality. Every heart or breathing problem will get a fire unit but occasionally less critical calls will get them as well if EMS is thin.) Currently I know I'll have to move to EMS to build that experience and get sent to medic school. IF I move to EMS tomorrow, I'll be at least 40 by the time I'll have a min 5 years experience. Is it even worth pursuing flight medicine at this late stage?
ОтветитьBeen following you for years. Thumbs up to the beard.
Ответитьi'm from Thailand i interested this job.. but i am technician helicopter in Royal Thai armed force. Do you have any helicopter technician jobs? i want to join in your team
ОтветитьSo are you a nurse or paramedic. Yeah your a paramedic technically but are u trained at a nurses level

Ответитьbrother in law was a flight para and is now in real estate really having a hard time with ptsd.
ОтветитьMy mother was going to be a flight paramedic for our hospitals helicopter and she decided to not go threw with it 1 week later the helicopter crashed and everyone in it died. Rip
ОтветитьCreighton's course is amazing!!!!! Rick is the man!
ОтветитьIs that an OPS-Core SOTR mask you have on in the thumbnail?
ОтветитьWill a service that does 911 and critical care (and BLS IFT)work as the paramedic experience needed to make flight? Or does it need to be a 911 only service?
ОтветитьIs the pay the same as ground units and how do working conditions compare to MOST private and 3rd party 911/IFT services?
Does working at a private IFT service look bad on resumes?
im currently a firefighter and im very interested in this when it says 3-5 years experience does that include a FF/Medic on full time dept?
ОтветитьInteresting that you don't seem to have EM docs on board. At least for the bulk of it it seemed as if the american systems primarily runs without Pre-hosptial EM Docs...
Because in germany we obviously also have paramedics on board of helicopters, with much of what you described also applying to these positions. But the bulk of patient care, especially during the transport is provided by an EM doc with usually a fellowship in CritCare plus their training on a helicopter. The paramedic usually assists on the ground medically as well as during the flight for navigation and communication.
Nontheless it's a long path for all professionals.
Is that a respirator? Or a mic to hook up to the carter box? We’re using traditional N95’s on the aircraft right now and having problems ordering more
ОтветитьIs there an age limit for being hired?
ОтветитьWhat would be the bachelor degree options?
ОтветитьHai Everyone !!!
I'm from India .. May I know Which exam I've to attend to do paramedic in America !!
I needed this 8 years ago lol
Good video battle
Small world, I also went to creighton for my medic. I have my 2nd interview in a couple days with a local helicopter service and havent even told my wife, yet this comes up as a recommended.
ОтветитьIm a flight paramedic in the army with my FP-C. Will my army service count towards any civilian time?
ОтветитьI wanted to do it but then I realized I have a crippling fear of heights and probably would've tossed myself out the helicopter because I panicked so much 💀🤣
ОтветитьMy dream job!
ОтветитьThis is a huge goal of mine. Thanks for the tips!
ОтветитьAre there any Flight Physician Assistants that you know of? I am getting out the Army in a few years and have loads of trauma experience and have treated multiple casualties aboard aircraft. I am looking to get a sweet post army retirement job.
ОтветитьI'm lovin' the beard brother, I started watching your videos during EMT school. You've been very insightful every video and helped a newbie set goals for a Career.
ОтветитьYou are smart and professional
ОтветитьBesides the obvious certifications is the hiring process pretty similiar to pilots as well? If doing medical piloting is it required or liked for a pilot to be versed in the medical field as well?
ОтветитьWhat type of mask is that in the thumbnail
ОтветитьMe with no desire to pursue a career in thr medical field: yes I need to watch this
ОтветитьPre-corona (2019) I was able to do a “ride-along” with my local air ambulance service in central IL. I would highly recommend reaching out and seeing if your service will let you do the same. Especially if you live near a level-1 trauma center. Perhaps one of the best experiences of my life and all it took was a phone call. Good luck!!
