Assassin's Creed Valhalla vs Odyssey Comparison - Direct Comparison! Attention to Detail & Graphics!

I wish they would’ve toned down the fantasy elements in Odyssey. I think part of the reason I enjoyed Origins and Valhalla more was due to the fact it felt a wee bit more grounded and took it self a little bit more serious.

It seems I'm the only one who thinks that Valhalla looks more real and detailed at close range, everything far away looks horrible and pop-ing but that's the price of a good quality of detail.
Odyssey I love the aesthetics of Greece but not the oversaturation of colors, it makes it look very "childish" and unreal.

The jump in graphic details that there is from 2020/21 in many games is a before and after.

Odyssey subjectively has better color palettes, but that's not a fair comparison.

Valhalla is valhalla. It can't be defeated. It's storyline is bad . But , For graphics valhalla is better

I liked Odyssey the best outta all these trio. Valhalla's storyline wasnt that much interesting to me, plus IDK Odyssey's visual representation just looks better

I dont know if it's my tv or what. But for some reason odyssey looks way cleaner than Valhalla. Tho I'm enjoying the combat in Valhalla way more

I really miss the gear and skill systems of Odissey...
In Valhalla i tend not to upgrate my gear because ill find better ones after all... While in Odissey i could use the best i've got without having to worry on spending crafting materials. Also was kinda cool to find new gear in every encounter, not mentioning the FAR BETTER changing appearance system.
Also the map was better to explore in Odissey, in Valhalla i always find myself "working" to find materials and clear the map and not properly exploring and having fun...
Also i never remember to use the new skills from the talent tree. (and damn, if i want to reskill the passive tree it takes some time).
Also Greece was more fun and beautifull than England.

Since the AC Unity, the AC franchise has become a ctrl c ctrl v type of game, with don't bring anything new or to, fight against other title, for, i don't know, a The Game Awards type of reward, Assassin's Creed became a generic and ok game. (PS: i write this, with sadness in my heart, because, i truly like Assassin's Creed franchise)

People just odyssey cause it’s colourful. The thing that struck me in Valhalla is that it goes to great lengths to show the poverty in some areas like Essex, east Anglia etc. odyssey is just a normal rpg set in Ancient Greece work low to none AC lore

Assassin's creed would be good if they improved npcs character models and sthe glitches and voice acting

Gameplay wise, I love the improvements that Valhalla has which Odyssey lacked in such as the combat animations. Cutscene wise, Odyssey is definitely the winner, at least for me. I assume that all cutscenes in Odyssey were pre-rendered which led it to be cohesive from start to finish with highly detailed character models and expressions. Valhalla's cutscenes seem to use the in-engine models most of the time and switches to pre-rendered ones at rare moments that look so much better and should've been how the whole game was. Story wise goes to Odyssey for me as it was very enjoyable and memorable from start to finish but the middle to the end had quite a few fetch quests that got annoying at times. Valhalla's story was very charming at first but quickly got super repetitive and boring with the gaining of alliances feeling more like side stuff going on and on like it would never end leaving the main story to have little time for itself. I hope the next AC can have more time put into it to make it look amazing and have a compelling story.

Man without all those grinds, enemy upscaling, enemy levels and shittiest side quests AC Odessey could've been a really really awesome rpg..maybe not an awesome AC game..but only the rpg (without those prbs mentioned above) system alone could've done it...

I’ve recently played both games and I must say when it’s in front of me, on my 1080p tv, Valhalla looks a lot better.

Imagine seeing morons telling that England and Norway looking better than ancient Greece 🤣

Greece was one of the biggest civilizations and the most beautiful country back then with all the islands and everything also Greece has the biggest mythology and maybe the biggest ancient history everything started from Greece just Google it maybe you will learn something new today 🤣

I bought this game in PS4 it is really bad, I am sorry. It’s just not on the same level as Ghost of Tsushima or Unchartered. The graphics are so bad that I am giving this game back. It's no fun to play. I also own the original assassins creed. It is so much better looking at the graphics.

I’d say it’s a difficult decision seeing as these two games are 2 years apart, and this video has been captured in 1080p crearly so it’s difficult so really say which looks better

Fighting animation looks much better in Valhalla, and everything looks much more realistic, there isn't those fake overkill reflections everywhere and this fake sharpness like in Odyssey. I much prefer Valhalla graphics overall and I disagree when people say water looks better in Odyssey.

I absolutely love Valhalla and think it’s way better. But I feel like Odyssey is gonna age like wine.

I like to see American British war of 1812 next. A follow up to AC 3 I think it was where its American revolution. Or the civil war even better!

Odyssey was better for setting and the way characters mouths moved when they talk. But to be fair, Valhalla has way better textures and the contrast is very nice

Ive played Odyssey since 2018, but I got Valhalla a few days back. Honestly, Valhalla is better as far as visuals go. Odyssey still looks amazing but Valhalla has different lighting features that this video doesn’t showcase.

If it wasn't for the title tags on-top I probably wouldn't be able to tell which is which 😅

RPG tribology was trash. I stopped buying after Syndicate. Still the overwhelming gore of Valhalla is tempting me to get the game. But the shit dark souls combat literally makes the game a shitshow kinda like WD Legion. Watch Dogs should've ended with Marcus and a Wrench DLC.

The rolling cloud lighting was one of the best things they implemented in the game , for me Valhalla is far superior in terms of visuals that odyssey , just because it has a dynamic change of lighting

Well in valhalla when u develop your skill tree there is actually one that lets u retrieve your arrows after u shoot , thats when u start seeing them after u have already shot XD , kinda silly but thats how it is
