I think Mercedes resale value is low because it tells the true story of Mercedes cars.
ОтветитьMercedes seats are NOT leather........
ОтветитьAlways love the G-Wagon's they are still very expensive used!
ОтветитьDo a search and you find how much mechanics hate these cars. Germans over engineered these and they fail way too much..$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Run away as fast as you can....run
ОтветитьI just bought a 2020 c300. amg sport package. 33k, 55k new 14k miles great value!
ОтветитьLoved the video! Any advice on the reliability of purchasing a CLA or GLA from 2014-18? There doesn't seem to be much info out there on the reliability of those vehicles as I suppose they are more niche than C or E classes. Thanks in advance
ОтветитьIf you buy one of these cars aren't you buying a car with all the engine reliablity issues mentioned in your other episode?
ОтветитьHere’s a better idea: lease an used Mercedes 😆
Ответитьhi , should i buy a 2020 44k miles Merecedes glc 300 ? without warranty because im buying from infiniti dealer
ОтветитьPlease stop spreading misinformation. German cars have no more "maintenance" than other cars...they just have more REPAIRS that owners call "maintenance" because they don't want to admit they bought a seconds rate crapmobile!!! Replacing gaskets, fuel pumps, and replacing a simple thremostat at $2,000 is not "maintenance"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is highway robbery...
ОтветитьJust purchased a 2016 S550 4matic with 8500k miles on it for 54k
ОтветитьI have become a millionaire selling Mercedes parts 😆
Ответить2022 market was rough, and prices didnt go down unfortunately. I remember in 2016, I bought my first amg 2014 Eclass with 50% off from actual MSRP. And 7years old (fresh looking and driving), 90% off from actually MSRP.
ОтветитьAll those are shit years, when they merged with Ford,
ОтветитьI bought a MB c class 180d for 25 k EUR its good and even if it is used from the outside it looks like new no scratches nothing inside there are some scratches but not major ones
ОтветитьFound a guy wanting a boat and wanted to sell his 2017 AMG 63 convertible with 11,500 miles on it. Original sticker he had was $96,000!! I would never buy a car for that price!! Never!! I paid $64,000 for this sick, widebody Benz that’s loaded and such a head turner. Now that the v-8’s are going into retirement I’m so glad I found this baby when I did. My daily driver is a diamond white c300 convertible with a little 4 banger engine and it is beautiful and I’ll always own a Benz. Every girl needs 2 MB convertibles in her garage.
ОтветитьGorgeous cars. Not for broke ass people. Go get a dodge or a Toyota or something. Or a cardboard box
ОтветитьENDLESS MONEY PITS!!!! I love Scotty Kilmer.
ОтветитьDummy if you drive a car, any car yoh havd to have money fof thd future servise every car needs!
ОтветитьGot my gorgeous black 2016 CLA250 with only one owner at 90,000 miles roughly in BEAUTIFUL condition for just $25,000. Good deal for a first car, learning more self-maintenance for sure.
ОтветитьThe only thing I hated about my new GLC-300 was that a spare tire was not offered. With my luck getting flat tires, this was very concerning. When I did get a flat at 3,000 miles the tire was not repairable due to a piece of road debris piercing the sidewall. A new tire cost me $388.00. After that I hated to leave my zip code! Not very confidence inspiring. I finally traded up to a Lexus GX-460 whick had a full sized spare. Best move ever!
ОтветитьIn 2018, I bought a 2014 C300 4MATIC with 34K miles for $18,000 (after getting rid of my $25,000 corolla that I despised). It now has almost 100k miles and I am keeping it until I die (I'm confident the car will outlive me). Admittedly, I replaced the drivers seat cushion after it tore (it was the jeans fault), and the interior drivers door handle just flaps freely and doesn't work (an easy DIY repair, but thousands $$ if I take it in I'm sure)... but seriously, it is such a solid car. Zero road noise, seats offer great support for long hauls, plenty of power, excellent handling, great sound system, and the standard features (dimming mirrors, auto lights, auto wipers, etc) are so incredibly useful you don't even think about them. I've had vw, audi, Toyota, and now two of these (first one saved my life in a serious high-speed accident) and its the most reliable car I've owned. People like to throw the service prices in your face... those are the idiot prices, just get an oil change, it's about $130. Oh, and it goes 10,000 miles between them... I'm getting an SL and a G wagon one of these days, but that's it for me! Love my c class
ОтветитьNo one ever said that Mercedes & BMWs were not beautiful, superior handling, luxurious vehicles. BUT they cost too much to own once that pre-paid maintenance plan expires at 3-5 years.
ОтветитьI bought a gorgeous black on silver AMG wheel 2011 W212 E350. I bought it because I simply loved the look of it (pre-face design and last model years of the hood ornament). It comes with a naturally aspirated 3.5l V6. Turbo 4 cylinder engines are just more stuff to break plus I don't think they sound as nice as the 6 or 8 cylinders.
ОтветитьA sad demise from being the king of moto-industry to one-season gimmicks galleries.
ОтветитьMercedes are over engineered, mass produced duds. Stay away from them.
ОтветитьNever ever buy a Mercedes new. I bought a C300 off lease last year. Basically half price.
Ответитьwatch your mechanic rubbing his hands together with a evil smile ALL YOUR MONEY IS MINE HA HA HA HAAAAH
ОтветитьMercedes are the biggest joke in the car industry, their days are numbered
ОтветитьAs scotty kilmer would say endless money pits, just think why would you buy something that cost $100000+ for only a fraction of that price for a car that's not all that old
ОтветитьI purchased a low km 2015 glk 250 recently for a low cost. It still has the blue protective film on stainless steel trim in the hatch area
ОтветитьI’m waiting to get that used S class with the 3D sound system in ruby black, got a Lexus LS 460 now next step is my S550 4 matic, warranties are sold everyday, they may be money pits to those who have to come out of their pockets but a good warranty with bumper to bumper and that’s anything made today
ОтветитьAs merc specialist ,i have to say all these newer models ,they are not mercs ,they are cheaply built counterfeits, quality is shocking ,durability 0 ,timing chains fail faster than timing belts, suspension /airmatic Is the biggest load of crap ever made(also fitted to vw/audi /bmw -same problems, the last decent mercs where 126 /124,the best merc ever built as modern day cars go were w123 ,nothing surpasses their build quality and reliability ,the new junk is exactly that junk
ОтветитьGreat video, but having been a Mercedes Benz employee for 8 years and have owned many since. So, why I/we only buy NEW Mercedes? 1) I want that experience and value of caring for my vehicle with regard to servicing and how it is driven since day 1. 2) No services are missed, never abuse the engine/transmission, careful about parking situations, and when not being driven, 3) our 3 Mercedes are garaged (always). 4) We don't smoke "anything" or eat fast food in our vehicles, 4) They get completely serviced when the service is due. We also enjoy a dealer-furnished loaner @ no charge while our Mercedes are being serviced. 5) The value of having full dealer support greatly adds to the value , confidence, and the Mercedes ownership experience. Without #5, it just wouldn't be the same.
So many times I have seen where a person buys a 3-4 year old MBZ, and they "service" it at "Jiffy Lube" or similar, which is essentially only an oil/filter change. Doing only this over a few years or more is inviting disaster, but yes, it is cheaper. Typically, those folks will sell that car to someone unsuspecting the poor service & other issues, so it becomes a nightmare for them. Same thing happens with BMW, Audi and Porsche. I owned a '77 930 Turbo and a tune-up could easily be $5K US. If you think that's bad, better not buy a big boat or an airplane, just sayin"
thank you so much for the video, I been doing alot of research on the brand trying to get the top tech for good price for a first time buyer of the brand which one would u recommend or more bang for my buck.
ОтветитьI want a luxury car but I don't want a acura or a lexus. I just don't like the style of them but I would scared to buy a audi which I want 😬
ОтветитьThere cheap due to being unreliable. I'm over merc's.
ОтветитьWouldn't have one given. Bags of shite. Same with Audi, VW, BMW.
ОтветитьWhat about older ???
ОтветитьIt’s not how much you pay for the car, it’s the cost of repairs and maintenance
ОтветитьI want to get a 2015 C-class C300 sport, but I'm hearing contradicting info on Mercedes brand, alone....rust issues, engine issues, Mercedes didn't do this, Mercedes didn't do that....but great buy and they are luxurious! Should I keep looking at other brands?
ОтветитьSad, MB didn’t used to be like this. They made cars that lasted forever especially the S class. As a matter of fact, one time it was said MB would lose money on the S class. Those old Mercs were so well built and closed like bank vaults and engineered to protection. The had the highest resale, reliability and gas mileage with a Diesel in the industry. Sad how this great brand has fallen. It has also lost prestige with cheap lease deals, too many down market models, junk cars and engines which lower resale which has damaged what it once meant to belong to the “Mercedes Benz” Club. Now a person can get a Benz for cheap so driving a Benz isn’t saying much as it used to. Before cheap lease deals, cheap models and parts , a Benz was meant to be seen in and u didn’t see nearly as much as you see today. MB on cheap models and deals are selling close to 4x as many vechicles compared to old MB, which again takes away from the mystique of the star. Too bad that ppl who are running the company today lack integrity and running this once great car company into the ground. The prestige can only last soo long when a broke bum can have the same car as you in 6 years lol
ОтветитьWhen you buy a used Mercedes budget some $4k to $5k to be spent in the first 6 months and add that to the cost of the car and you won't be disappointed. I have bought 4 used CLSs over the past 14 years so I know !
Ever notice that people always compare a Lexus to a MB but they never compare a MB to a Lexus.
Mercedes Benz are the best the used ones are even better so stfu I never had one problem why because everything on them is state of the art hard drive and wire wear in a mechanic so I know what sucks and you do
ОтветитьThere not expensive you just need a good mechanic I have a BMW too which I take my Beemer to get oil changes and ever had a problem with my mb
ОтветитьPlease I own a 2005 MB e320 never gave me one problem just oil changes every year gave it to my son because its way better than today's cars way better than dodge Honda Chevy ford there the best not one problem in 15 years it just proves to show ...now I'm in a 2015 e550 amg sport which is crazy fast so please stfu
Ответить...... no mention of Renault/Nissan
🙄
You have to pay to play! 5k -10k a year in maintenance at the dealer. OR Buy the tools and a top of the line code reader +10k for a rainy day!
ОтветитьThat's ok guy's, I'll stay with my Toyota Camry, it is alot more reliable than this German junk...
ОтветитьI'm young to the car thing.. So I wanna knw when these cars lose value so quickly does the company lose money because of the cost to build... Can someone help please.
Ответить
