01 Iceland - Development Diary | Senua's Saga: Hellblade II

The passion for this character and her story is amazing.

Making games like movies, making games for adults. This is the future.
For far too long we have had to put up with developers that only put their efforts into a few coponents of the game. And the rest is all rushed an cliche and has no character.
Ninja theory is completely breaking the old way of working and it is much like the progression of the movie industry.

Can't wait to play this walking-simulator with the occasional fight and obtuse puzzle. - But where's Tameem in all of this? - All I see of the guy is that he's at some party in some exotic location with some weird rich people. Seriously, like every few days he's somewhere else, like he's been on vacation for months on end. - Shouldn't he be working on the game?? - Guy leaves a poor impression, so I actually hope he's not the director of this one. Or we'll get another sluggish walking-simulator with barely any gameplay. - And no, I'm not closed to an emotional experience, but the first game really didn't grab me that much, it actually made me rage because of the obtuse puzzles. - I guess that's also an emotional experience.

This was unbelievably interesting and thoughtful. This has significantly increased my hype for this game. I can't wait to see more!

Please, take your time with this game. Seriously, we are not in a hurry. This is too amazing to be launched in a hurry like some studies have been doing.

Hype Hype !!!!

It took me too long to realize when that gamebuilt footage was being shown, it looked so real! I thought I couldn't get more excited about this game but you guys have proved me wrong. Thanks so much for sharing this behind the scenes view of things, can't wait to see more! And like others have said, take all the time you need. I'm willing to wait however long it takes for you guys to make the project exactly how you envision it, and I know it'll be worth all that time. The care and passion in this team is absolutely evident!

Kinda bummed out it will be exclusive to Xbox, I believe games like this should be available to everyone no matter on what you play on, the first game changed my life when I bought my first PlayStation 4 and it was the first game I played on PlayStation 4. I couldn’t imagine what it would’ve been like if it was only on Xbox and I missed out on it.

In the world where all the other big companies are focusing on how much money they can make, watching this makes appreciate the smaller companies that deserve all the praise in the world for the product you are making. When I say Hellblade is in my top 5 favourite games ever and Senua is my favourite female protagonist ever I mean it. Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice is absolutely incredible, I've played it atleast once a year since it's release (also a big fan of Heavenly Sword and Enslaved)
Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is the reason I bought an X-Box, please take your time with this sequel, I have full faith in the team at Ninja Theory. Love you guys 🖤 can't wait to see more of the dev diaries

why not just use the megascans iceland library? It is literally this for free. This is cool but seems like a lot of money for something that could be done easily without this.

I remember the first diaries a few years ago and before watching this video i was like "havent they done this already?" but now it makes sense. I am so stoked!

Can you imagine the more useless job than to be a Iceland landscape photographer? That island have not a single bad angle in the untouched by human parts. You can shot a photo blinfolded and it will be always a top notch material for a postcard. :D

It's great to have an update, I loved the first game and I can't wait to play the next stage in Senua's story. That said, I'm glad you're taking the time needed to make this game as good as it can possibly be.

I subscribe to GamePass Ultímate. I finished 1 on Xbox, PC then bought it on Steam to play in VR. I’ll be paying full price for this. Ninja Theory is amazing!
