Great find, defs gonna try this out. Don’t have launch monitors in my country so this will be fun to try
ОтветитьHi Simon, are you sure this is on Android platform as i cant find it.
ОтветитьJust went and ordered a tripod for my android phone for the sole purpose of this app to find its not available. Oops. Hopefully they make an android version soon
Ответитьonly for iphone unfortunately. keep an eye out for android
ОтветитьUsed this app, thought it was great fir 100 yards and in. Anything more than that wasn't great. Did anyone find the spin accurate?
ОтветитьThis was great thanks Simon! We appreciate the quick look as well as your feedback. We are working on some really cool updates and improvements that will be dropping soon. We popped you a mail so be sure to check your inbox. Keep up the awesome content!
ОтветитьYep we're not far away. When you think that most smartphone cameras now can shoot 720p at 960 frames per second, we should be able to get something similar to the old vector monitors that Titleist used about 15 years ago. You might have a draw a cross on the ball or something to make it more accurate
ОтветитьCan you download for IPad?
ОтветитьThose yard gaps can make a difference. I have a Garmin G80 launch monitor and I have been working dialing in specific yardages with my wedges 45, 55, 60, 65 yards and so on to 100. I found the G80 to be off by about 5-7 yards which may not sound like much but when translating into proximity to the hole 21 extra feet of putt is not what I exactly want. Granted it’s a relatively inexpensive unit when compared to the super accurate GCs and Trackmans but I guess you get what you pay for. For the record the G80 also does struggle to accurately capture higher swing speed shots with my hybrid and on up to driver. Very frustrating when you catch one really well only to see 0’s on the screen. Well done
ОтветитьWow! I didn’t know this existed! I downloaded the app and will give it a try! Not sure if I’ll do a review on it yet, because my distances are embarrassing! 😂
ОтветитьCan't find it on Playstore. Not sure there is an Android version yet.
ОтветитьThat rapsodo monitor looks pretty awesome.
ОтветитьGreat foresight on investing in this early doors and reminding everyone what they can get for free. The development potential with the power of smartphones is huge and could really make this tech very accessible.
ОтветитьI tired that app, It was somewhat accurate for lower clubs but when I got into 6 iron it said I had a 350 yard carry with a 6 iron 😂
Good for the ego but obviously not true haah
So your flight model operates without using spin? Good call. Wouldn't trust these numbers at all.
Ответитьgo buy trackman boy
Ответить"Well, we'd be loving life then, wouldn't we?" LOL!
ОтветитьI came really close to buying a Swing Caddie recently and decided $500 was too much to not know if it would really work in my garage hitting net setup. Just downloaded this app and if it works, sweet. If not, then I’m out $6.99... awesome!
ОтветитьAnother good informative video, keep it up. Unfortunately ive had this App and it really isn’t that good but I suppose for free it’s worth the novelty factor! 👍
Ответитьthis is amazing, can't wait to try it tomorrow. cheers for the vid review!
ОтветитьI saw this video last night and dowloaded the app straight away. I took it to our driving range is afternoon for a try out. Here are the results. It works with yellow range balls, they say white in the description. Unless you go with the 7 day free tryout it will only give you club head speed so I signed up for the pro version. Once that was sorted I have to say I was pretty impressed, It missed a few shots here and there, especially with the lob wedge. I used driver, 5 wood, 5 iron, 8 iron, P wedge and lob wedge and I would have to say that the results were pretty accurate.
Easy to setup and use, in my opinion worth the coin to get the pro version
the app only recognises white golf balls not yellow as on our golf range 🤷♂️
ОтветитьThank you! I was really hoping it would show club head speed as well
ОтветитьWhat is the name of the app?
ОтветитьI tried this and it was very disappointing. Constantly having to move phone on tripod when I changed clubs so it would pick them up. Very poor with wedges. I then paid for the app hoping it would be better in the paid version but gave up in the end. So ok for free as a bit of fun.
ОтветитьI'm wondering if they could integrate the iWatch to give a little bit more accuracy
ОтветитьNeed to give this a go. Been eying Flightscope Mevo but can't stomach dropping the cash on it. Can't beat free, even if it's not perfect.
ОтветитьSeriously, you are the most honest reviewer and possibly the most honest person on you tube. I wish I could take a lesson with you to honestly fix my swing.
Not necessarily in this video but you have exposed everybody and the entire industry.
I am very optimistic that that there are still people like you in this horrible world.
Cast the phone screen to a TV screen using chromecast. Problem solved. 30 bucks
ОтветитьGood channel,subscribed
ОтветитьThink I'll just get a Garmin g80 instead of an iphone
ОтветитьHow does it work inside?
ОтветитьHave you seen Rick Shiels has just uploaded a video on this now? 😂
Ответитьwhat’s the app called?
Ответитьi keep telling everyone the phone is so smart you can use it to put your putter grip on perfect every time an not one video on net show this..put a string down on straight putt an see the line there your length an the phone put the grip on perfect straight with grip an you putting your best you can without practice amazing
ОтветитьBryson just said that even trackman the best monotors in the world is not accurate said it dont read what he really doing said it dont translate to the course an if anyone knows he does nobody has everything like he does to improve his game the science guy
Ответитьfor hitting in the net this give you some idea what you doing for free all you need for nothing awesome
ОтветитьCan you post a link to the gorilla grip? Also, how high should the stand/grip be above the floor for an optimum outcome?
ОтветитьSo what’s name of the free launch app? I did not get it.
ОтветитьLess waffle, more results please...
ОтветитьToo much rambling, dude. Get to the point!
Ответить96 yards??? Technology doesn't lie Simon! L0L!
ОтветитьTried setting this up with my ipad but it wouldn't pick up anything 😒
ОтветитьThis app is junk on the iPhone 7
ОтветитьMaybe if you change the setup a bit this app can be useful for those on a budget and can't afford a proper launch monitor or have one nearby to borrow or rent.
That said, I wonder if the age of the phone matters?
I am still a bit emperor’s new clothes with some of these devices. From the camera viewing your shot at an angle, not behind etc it must monitor club head speed plus other variables and calculate a number. No measurement of wind strength and direction.
I just look at the flags on the range for an approx distance and trust my gps watch when recording actual game shots
How do you think shot vision 2.0 compares?
ОтветитьCan you compare to the updated version?
ОтветитьThis guy could pass for Jude Law's younger brother
ОтветитьThanks for Watching Guys! Looking through the comments, this isn’t available on Android! Apologies should of checked.
