Mine not working

hey there, amazing video. My problem is as it follows. I have an exterdrive that was linux based (ir is farmted fat32). There are some pictures and stuff I want to take out, how ever there is a .gz file. I can see it throu 7-zip, but when I stract it to the windows drive, the files are all with coding erros. I'm lost im here a little bit
