Navi will cost 300+, it will overall beat the 1660ti but not the rtx 2060 and will trade blows with the Vega 56. It cant cost lower, because it will offer two and later three versions of power. The problem is the stupid rx590 crap.
The rx 480 is the perfect card to be had, as a place holder.

Why did you compare it to the 1080 (ti)?

i got a XFX RX470 in september 2016. it still plays everything fine at 1080p, maybe not at max settings depending on how optimized the game is but i never had to see it crawl at under 20fps like some cards i had in the past at that price (both green and red).

Just bought a used RX 480 8 GB for my mini ITX System a few days ago, the card runs all games on 1080p I tried pretty well on high settings.

how does is scaling when put in crossfire with 8gb rx580?

You guys won't believe me but in SOME games, my rx 480 4gb matched my 1070, but then again i also went from 7600k @4.6hgz to i7 8700t @3.3ghz not sure how much of a difference that makes.

your benchmarks are a bit weird, why compare all cards of different price points? You need to compare cards on the same or similar price point.

I still use rx 480 with uwqhd monitor and it holds up fine

I still run a 480 sapphire 8gb that runs most any games at 2k with aa off and everything else ultra. Great graphics card! On other computer I have a 2070 nvidia

I recently bought a Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ 8GB used for about $100 shipped. I'm not a huge gamer but I'm tired of the few games I do play looking like crap because of my HD 7950 3GB.
I think the RX 480 is a bargain on the used market and should handle high/ultra settings for 1080p at 60Hz for the next couple of years.

I have the HP version of the 480 and im happy with it. The only thing that sucks is you can tell the older fallouts were made with nvidia in mind cause there some issues with it but its still great

480 still does 1080p just fine,dumb video,ill avoid your future video as you obviously are clueless.

Ive had a rx480 for about a year now, and it has brought me enjoyment in vr games, and 60 fps in 1440p games like bf1 and The Witcher 3

Still running my RX 480 Armor Edition 4G card. Still able to play almost all Triple A titles without issue at 1080p. Although later this year I will be building a new PC and most likely using my current rig for guests.

I had an Asus Strix OC RX 480 that worked fine most of the time but some games would crash my pc hard. I tried everything to fix it but nothing worked it was past warranty and I heard Asus rma process was horrible and ended up buying an RX 580 and have had no problems at all. Can't wait to see what Navi brings!

I got one RX 480 reference design for $75 and its the best deal that i ever had thennflashed with a moded RX 580 BIOS. I know is a bit hotter but i prefer the reference design...i don't know why but i like it.

It's an AMAZING card for the price.

Absolutely love my 480. Runs everything I do at 1080 no problem and is the best VR experience I've had yet. Definitely interested in the next gen from AMD, and coming from a long time NVidia fanboy, that's saying a lot.

Rx470 4gb for $75 and 580 for $130 ish is the real champ in 1080p

Using my Rx 480 at 2k and use it for VR, holds up pretty well.

I upgraded the cooler on my reference RX480, and then flashed it with a RX 580 bios - this did take some testing to get the right one. Been running it like this since August 2018, no issues. Basically gave me a stable OC beyond what I could achieve with actual overclocking. Suppose this means I downloaded myself a new graphics card ^^

my gtx 1060 broke today (lasted since summer 16) and I picked up a rx 480 8 GB today for 120 EUR. 40 EURs cheaper then the cheapest 8 GB rx 580 I could find in germany.

I'm still running a Sapphire 480 and love it. I run it with a -94 milivolt offset and it runs like a dream (every program I've ever used crashes past a 100 milivolt offset in either direction, but card is stable, it's odd).

i still have this gpu and still dont have the desire to upgrade

Just bought a rx480 and it is serving me very well until Navi. I just got it for my new build to hold me off for a while. I bought it for $120.00 US. It benchmarks on Userbenchmark at 74% Battleship. Not bad for 120.

i just got an rx 480 for about 100$ us. from the benchmarks , it beats rx 570 by about 10 percent and the 570 cost around 200$ or more. it also beats the nvidia gtx 1650 by about 25 percent which is also 200$ or more. the 480 is still a great card for the price.
