10 Signs of Sjogren's Syndrome - a very complex autoimmune disease

I was diagnosed with sjogrens in 2005. It explained a lot of problems i was having as a kid and doctors never thought to test for it. I have skin issues, tons of pain everywhere, have lost all my teeth and continue to have swelling issues. I have had so many surgeries because of sjogrens complications. Recently had a stent placed in my in my LAD because it was clogged 95% and never knew. I was so close to a heart attack or stroke. Depression is a big issue since i can't work or do many things because of the pain. A lot of people don't understand and i have been called a hypochondriac many times. Getting disability was so hard because my disease is not physically seen. Thank God i found an amazing doctor in my area that fights for me all the time. Thank you for your videos.❤

I have shogerns,shogerns,, sarcoidosis,, hasimotoshypothyroism,, chronic interstitial cystitis,, Rheumatoid arthritis,,gout,, osteoporosis,,,Lupus,,, my grandmother,, me,,, my. Son,, so many in my family.... fibromyalgia,,,, I'm 60 was diagnosed at early age 1989. 26 years old no fun at all.....

I think I have Sjogren's. Fatigue, shortness of breath, Eye irritation and Hypothyroid site effects.
My ANA 1:320 fine speckled, no other antibodies,
Lymphocytes 1448 mm3 borderline,
Thyroid hormone TSH=1.3, T3=57, T4=6.38, fT3=2.5 before 2.24, fT4=1.08. Low T3, and
normal CRP.
I think all is connected.
Can you give me some advice?

is this from stress and why are there no stress reduction approaches. if you wake up choking without a blocked wind pipe can you die before you get to the faucet?

I can't thank you enough. I've been searching for years why I am sick everyday, and until my doc suggested SS last spring when I became anemic, and a lady recently moved into my building who has SS and simply told me she had no saliva and couldn't cry (my ears perked like a dog), I may not have caught this. My symptoms are progressing so fast right now it's a bit scary. I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and seronegative RA. I have 9 of the 10 signs in your video. Right now my mouth hurts so bad I can't close my teeth together. I have no transportation to a rheumatologist anymore and am in a motorized wheelchair. So tired!

Uhhh, yikes. Was not aware of heart/kidney/lung manifestations! I had plugs put in my tear ducts at age 25 when I went for LASIK surgery. Doc didn't wanna do the surgery due to severe dryness but I begged. Contacts were melting to my corneas & I was putting cooking oil in my eyes because drops did nothing. Teeth rot at the gumline very easily & I was just Rx'ed vaginal inserts for menopausal women in my 30's. I have severe GERD & chronic gastritis, likely because I don't produce enough saliva to neutralize the acid. 5 med professionals have said "You probably have Sjogren's" so it's all but confirmed. Eye dryness is about 90% improved after LASIK and punctal plugs. How scary about the lung fibrosis and heart disease. 😞 I take stimulants for severe fatigue/treatment-resistant depression so the heart thing is extra worrisome.

Dont take pharma meds or shots and watch what you eat. Then You'll be fine.

I now know I am not insane.

That eye test felt like my eyeballs were on fire. I lost all my teeth despite being hyper vigilante taking care of them.

Why do you not mention Scleroderma ?There is so much crossover and frequently people who have scleroderma have Sjogren’s .

I have had almost every single one of these signs. Its been years and many Dr's. Dr's don't listen to their patients. It has been a long road. I asked the doctor for blood work to be done, it never happened.

I notice sometimes the pain in my joints can feel like a throbbing dull ache and then other times the pain can come in like a unexpected sharp pain. Like sometimes my fingers start a quick sting so painful that it feels like I just accidentally burned my fingers on a hot oven stove top. The painful burning sensation in my fingers only last a few seconds at a time and keep coming throbbing on and off when I'm in a flare. Its very painful and uncomfortable.

Does a person have to have all 10 symptoms to have this? I know I see different doctors such as nephrologist, neurologist, rheumatologist and gastroenterologist each one treats a symptom listed in your discussion. Thank you

Thank you Dr Diana, ive thought for a long time i have SS AS so many symptoms i have . Ive suffered since 1998 with Fibromyalgia and later developed Osteoarthritis as well. All this us getting worse with some of the other sjmptoms you mentioned including difficulty swallowing and hoarse throat. My biggest problem is getting over to the doctors i need more througher tests for SS.

Thank you for the information. Just having a blood test for antibodies and the rheumatologist said I have Sjögren’s syndrome. Makes me worry and my doctor prescribe me hydrochloquinone 200 mg.

once I improved my vitamin status, lymphoma reversed, heart arrhythmia, and other symptoms. When things get worse, it is when I neglect m y D intake.

I have lupus and everything you have mentioned, I even had to have my teeth pulled.

I have pain from sciatic nerve planters fashiitis Also my BP is high and mouth is a little bit dry could this be symptoms of SS?

A very worrying situation, I'm male 74 years old and have R/A diagnosed about 20 years ago causing me to have both knees replaced about 12 years or so, the last few years or so my eyes, mouth has all the syptoms you discribed perfectly. All I take for the Arthritis pain is 60mg codiene 4 times a day only, this only works a couple of hours inbetween does, the eyes and mouth issuies i use OTC eye drops with pletey of fluid for the oral problems.Why havent I gone to the Rhomitologists? beacause here in the UK it takes mouths to see anyone escpecially now due to pay disputes and Covid with has affected everything due to backlogs!!!! I'm relying on channels such as yours to help me self medicate but to be honest its getting harder now. So depressing :--( thank you again for sharing some of your knowlege with us here on YT
