What a superb instructional video. Minimum words so can be followed by anyone. Even going to the trouble of stripping down one side just to show us the workings, brilliant. I hope my Sprinter fixes so easily.
UPDATE : Saw the video 4 days ago and adjusted my Sprinter hand brake today, and the hardest part was jacking it up, the adjustment was easy. Thanks so much for posting.
Simple and also now retro!
ОтветитьTop Video thanks

Thanks for the video. I'll be doing this very soon. Handbrake almost doesn't do anything anymore. 308 2000reg sprinter. I just done my brake pads this week. Wish I watched this sooner as I had the wheels off and brakes off already....

ОтветитьGreat video. Just actually took me less time to adjust my sprinter than it took to watch the video.
ОтветитьGreat video...amazing Mercedes engineering..having a separate systems..disc for braking and internal expanding for emergency brakes..thanks for the easy to follow adjustment tutorial
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьOne of the best guides. No bullshit talk 80% of time. Very clear. Nice job, this will definitely save lot of my time to do this. Thanks!
ОтветитьGOOD
ОтветитьWhat excellent post.
ОтветитьOk, two points, one VERY important and the other's just a tip.
First, I would crack all the wheel nuts BEFORE jacking up the van because if they're properly tight or you've been to a garage and they've wizzed them up with a nut gun, you'll only turn the wheels and not be able to undo the nuts. Much easier when the wheels are on the ground and chocked to get a good purchase. That's the little tip, now for the really important part which you got completely wrong! 5 MINUTES IS NOWHERE NEAR LONG ENOUGH FOR A TEA BREAK! THIS IS AN ENGLISH SITE!! YOU NEED AT LEAST 15 MINUTES! NOT ONLY THAT... WHERE WERE THE BISCUITS???
Very nice clear and helpful video. Cheers.
(PS, those jack stands are fine for that vehicle so long as you're on flat ground! Ideal to keep in the van for emergencies and far safer than no stands and relying on the jack which could sink, roll, fail etc so ignore charlesinGA)

👏👏👏👍
ОтветитьVery very good job , beauty song and nice van .
ОтветитьCould you please tell how come you did not adjust the cable "balancer" underneath? Thanks
ОтветитьExcelent
Ответить👍
ОтветитьNice work
Ответитьexcellente video tres claire ca m 'a beaucoup servi merci thanks
ОтветитьI love the fact that you don't talk very much. Non-english speakers can understand it well and for us English speakers, we get to listen to the music in the background!
ОтветитьTake it this applies for the older VW LT35 van too as they were developed jointly with Mercedes (initially anyway)...If so I'm looking forward to doing this work on my LT35 soon.
ОтветитьGreat video second to none Mick W
Ответитьproper job, thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьWas that 4 clicks plus the 2 clicks?
ОтветитьHi mate, I've just done this but with slightly different method for the first time in order to remove old rotors. Upon finishing the job I seem to have a whine of some sort that sounds like the noise you get when you run your finger around a crystal glass. Is this the sound of the new discs and pads breaking in? Or have I not adjusted handbrake quite enough when refitting? I tightened the cog until the disc wouldn't move in my hand and then loosened it just a small amount until the disc moved again.
Ответить👍👍👍
ОтветитьFantastic Video , job Well Done, I can only my attempt is as successful !
ОтветитьCool video without unnecessary talking. Thanks for the help .
ОтветитьGod job
ОтветитьI do not own a Sprinter, but, searching for information about this vehicle was redirected here. EXCELENT way of explaining things... thanks sir!!!!!!!!!
