ОтветитьWasn't Egypt the greatest empire?
Ответить"What did the romans ever do for us" well......:), sad to see that north africa was the most prosperous region in the world and where they are today.
ОтветитьYHWH
ОтветитьEffective Jew army....nah. Leave this nonsense out. =)
ОтветитьVespasian treated the Jews like the Jews are treating the Palestinians.
ОтветитьIn this world of greedy and evil men, peace and prosperity must be protected if it is to continue.
If your society is not willing to pay for a standing army you would soon be conquered by one that is.
What I see as the greatest benefit of paying taxes to Rome was the gaining of military protection against any who would desecrate prosperity and peace.
Didn't the Italians
Name some kind of weird ass scooter thing after this dude????
public bathrooms in Italy are called vespasiano because he taxed urine. Urine was collected and used to wash clothes.
ОтветитьThe content here is a touchstone. A book I read with similar ideas became a touchstone for my growth. "The Silent Bridge: Echoes of the Unspoken Past" by Emma Wick
ОтветитьRome was not a parasitical city, unless all large (modern) cities are like this as well. Rome would have had a large economy in the empire as a whole. It would have a long-term effect in trade for example across the Mediterranean sea and beyond. It would have produced a whole host of pre-industrial goods and services. No, ancient Rome as a city was not parasitic and it remained as the political centre of the empire until the 5th century.
ОтветитьEmperors and kings are made, not born. Such is politics.
ОтветитьTitus probably did not travel to and from Rome and Judea in a chariot. These vehicles were used for racing, not even as a military vehicle by the Roman army (they primarily used cavalry for mobile warfare).
ОтветитьAnyone know the names of the experts being interviewed?
ОтветитьYes using puppets kings is as anglo saxons and today their's mixed breed called United states of sodom does... Look into Z elensky the perfect marionette clown... 😂😂😂
ОтветитьVery nice documentary. Vespasian's for sure the kind of leader every empire could dream of ! Rome had few of those.
ОтветитьThe unrelated AI scenes are distracting, and cheesy.
Ответить'Vespasian'. Not 'Vespayzhyun'. Please.
ОтветитьSo it was the Dutch troops who crossed the Medway and were the direct cause of the British defeat. I suppose this was the beginning of the British disdain if not hatred for all things Dutch.
Ответить“Known to history as Vespasian” but only if your history books are written in English. As is so often the case, our obviously British slanted narrator blithely disregards the majority of the world’s people who do not learn their history lessons from English books.
ОтветитьDamn poetic!
ОтветитьRome caused these people to flee there in the first place.
And only those politically favored, even though poor, received grain. Not a huge percentage.
Everyone also got holy days off, or relief from work for a special treat. Still not every went, that would be impossible.
His name is Vespasianus, to call hem Vespasian is lazy or sloppiness? Don't do so.

ОтветитьWhat a great documentary! And what a great man, Vespasian!
ОтветитьCato and Macro would be proud
ОтветитьWho told you that the Romans produced nothing in Italy????That is your view...
In ancient Rome the most widespread activities were agriculture and livestock farming. Also, they produced olive oil, wine... The city was a rich commercial centre since its FOUNDATION...they inherited a rich tradition of metalsmithing from the Etruscans which were 'MASTER BRONZE SMITHS' working of gold, silver, and other metals.
rome sounds A LOT like major urban centers in the US like new york and LA. richly colorful and diverse yet deeply resentful and parasitic melting pots
ОтветитьShoot. I was looking for The Untold Story of Emperor Vespa. 🛵
ОтветитьWhat patience ...what balls ..how he survived all that fighting for all those years i couldnt have done it and he really good for rome as well shows experience is better than just having money and contacts but i guess that helps 😜😔
ОтветитьJudging by the statues i think the roman empire fell due to everyone being very upset about the size of their micro penises . The barbarians etc all having tools that dragged on the floor due to their size or carried around in chariots due to their enormous balls . Its just a theory but im sure it pissed off not only the men but the ladies as well who had to resort to gladiators etc for a bit of action .
ОтветитьThe more things change the more they stay the same for as he said the way they conquered the brits isnt that much different today and instead of calling us all slaves they call us employees today but were slaves make no mistake about it. Try not paying ur taxes and see. No property tax no home no income tax jail etc. No registration tax yearly no car no license. Oh yes were slaves thatve been slowly conditioned by the 1%> but soon they wont need us with robotics and ai and all the tech which means elimination of all these useless mouths to feed.
ОтветитьSeems like nuthins cjanged u still jave to be rich to run for office
ОтветитьThat British dude with the grey beard should be on like every Roman history documentary out. He’s great
